Crystal Palace 1-2 Liverpool: In game and Post Match discussion
      Dec 09, 2023 11:30:33 am

elhurst Park hosting the Mighty Reds

Liverpool FC Starting XI: Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Quansah, Van Dijk, Tsimikas, Endo, Szoboszlai, Gravenberch, Diaz, Salah, Nunez.

Liverpool Subs: Kelleher, Gomez, Konate, Jones, Gakpo, Elliott, Doak, McConnell, Bradley.

Alisson Becker returns for Liverpool in today's lunchtime clash with Crystal Palace.

The goalkeeper is back in the starting line-up at Selhurst Park after recovering from injury as one of five changes made by the Reds.

Elsewhere, Kostas Tsimikas and Jarell Quansah come into defence. Ryan Gravenberch begins in midfield, while Darwin Nunez is restored to the attack.

Alisson Becker returns to Liverpool's matchday squad for today's encounter with Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.

The goalkeeper comes back into contention after missing the Reds’ last three matches due to an injury sustained at Manchester City on November 25.

Alisson back already, great news. Hope Mo Salah scores, with a win for the Reds and all three points.

That is some lineup. Very confident we can secure a win with that.
Just have to be right on it from the start.
Names on a team sheet can look great, but only if they put the graft in once they’re on the pitch.
Let’s give it some from the start, and we’ll overpower Palace.  0:3 to the Red Men 👍

Big opportunity for Quansah here.  Matip injury, Konate flakiness.  Fingers crossed for him and us.

Agree for Quansan, hope he has a hell of a game.
Konate not as sharp this season for some reason, imagine the injuries getting in the way of his form

If we have the right attitude we win.
Surely going top is incentive enough
Palace have all of their flair players out so they will sit back

Quansah looks a player, hopefully has a good game. Nunez deserves to be back in, thought Gapko v quiet vs Sheffield Utd. Endo starting again after good showing, keep it up lad.

Like this lineup a lot. Subs bench looks a little bit light on game changing options so hope we don’t need any.

Like the look of the side  no surprise to see Quansah in ,who knows a clean sheet and a strong defensive display could see us settled for our next 3 or 4 games injuries permitting , great to see Ali back.
Palace will be way tougher than the midweek opponents , a poor performance midweek  still saw the 3 points come our way , still take us to score a couple or 3 , Wm Hills are giving 28/1 and 35/1 Mo first goal 2-0 and 3-0 £5 on each , the wee fella is overdue to get his 200th goal for the club ,ideal scenario we win and go top  Villa do a number on the Gunners whats not to like.

Surprised nobody has asked Jürgen about ibou. Apparently he missed over 50 games through injury across the 2 seasons prior to us signing him. The club knew what they were getting.

As it is its a concern a player who should be entering his peak years can't back up matches. On the flip I'd rather carry on this way and keep him fit as opposed to playing him Wednesday/Saturday and him pulling up. With matip out its not ideal but quansah has helped sooth the situation. Gomez must be abit miffed getting overlooked at CB today though.

All about focus concentration intensity desire today ... all about us. Look after the above and 3 points will be coming home.
