      Premier League'e first female referee
      Dec 14, 2023 04:25:56 pm
Noticed on the BBC website Rebecca Welsh is to become the first female to referee a Premier league match between Fulham and Burnley on the 23rd of December. Could she do any worse I wonder, with so much controversy in the game nowadays ! Or is this taking things too far.

We've got female line assistants. So what's the big deal. Probably do a better job than their shithouse male colleagues.

Hoping it'll be a bit of fresh air to be honest because lets be honest, the current set of male refs are diabolically bad, she can't do any worse.

Agree on both counts, it just can’t get any worse can it? Hope it goes well for her anyway and it’s not just because it’s a diversity bull sh*t thing and that’s she’s really good at her job.

No issue at all as long as she’s got it on merit , which let’s be honest she wouldn’t have to be that good to be better than most her male counterparts , hope it goes well for the lass .

I don't care if they have animal referees if they do their job correctly.

Being a female shouldn't have anything to do with how well she does her job.

Some good points, which I agree with, the way things are atm, they could well show up their male counterparts.

Anyone deserves a chance if they’re good enough, the jury is out.  Hopefully they haven’t made the same mistake like some of these new pundits/commentators 🤦‍♂️

Sounds like you've gone done the you tube rabbithole of listening to sh*t knobheads. I've heard the same podcasts that want to project this message of male masculinity. Again more Internet bullshit for some divvies to get the clueless to donate, subscribe or like!! :lmao:

Collins wasn't a beast, he was your typical shithouse Italian with bulging eyes  he made mistakes as well.

I'll go as far to say the women will probably do a better job than the men.

Fact is you're a bit of a incel too. Sort yourself out lad!!

He also stopped Everton getting into the Champions League proper in 05/06 by ruling Ferguson's goal out against Villareal. Depending on which side of the fence you come down, that's either a mistake or great judgement.

Aye, desiring an emotional strong male is definitely not laced with homoeroticism.

Amazing how much insecure males there are out there. Some right wing, macho bullshit.

Cold light of day it was a bit of an error, always felt that was onside.

Uefa always maintained it should of been us in as champions and Everton dumped to the Uefa Cuo as has happened  similar in La Liga, but the FA would never make that decision.
