Another three points. And on top of the league.

Jota back fit and scoring is another bonus.

Villa pegged back at OT to 2-2. That result would do me nicely.

3-2 now..still think Jim will be giving Erik a bell sooner or later.

Was talking about that today, some of the things I saw yesterday on SSN regarding the 25% investment, I wouldn't be surprised if Ratcliffe & Brailsford went after Southgate after the Euro's

Anyway top of the league until Arsenal play!

Two very good finishes, three points, a clean sheet...job done. Almost surreal we are top of the league half way through without having fully found our rhythm. It's a great feeling knowing there is so much more to come if we can get the combinations right across the pitch.

And Mo was only in that position because he was pushed in there by a Burnley player, so the goal deffo should have stood.

Exactly none of the pundits even mentioned it about if they can see Mo in that position how cant they see him being pushed into that position how many replays did they take over that ,exactly F all VAR and hopeless officials could cost us big time , why is it always Liverpool, saying sorry that was a error doesnt help our cause.😡

That second half was hard to watch, Burnley had their tales up after the second disallowed goal and we couldn’t really string any passes together.

However, something felt good about Jota coming on and he did the business. His finishing is elite and we’re going to need him!

Got the 3 pts which is the most important thing but the fact that once Burnley decided to have a go our midfield again looked spent in that 2nd half is a concern.

Happy for Nunez as his work rate deserved that goal.

Salah showing missing relatively easy finishes is universal in this team 😁

Endo will never be a proper world class dm because he‘s too short/lightweight. For me he is only a solution until Bajectic comes back to 100% (or Thiago). And make no mistake: I like Endo, his attitude, all good like with Minamino. Both just lacked natural measurements.

Bajcetic is smaller than Endo I think 😊

There were so many contenders for MOTM.

      Quansah and VVD in defence.

      Endo and Elliott in midfield.

      Nunez was on fire.

What a result. Utd thanks as well, now Everton and West Ham do us a favour too.

Decent enough win, although it should have been more.

Not a bad end to the year, to be Top of the table with so many injuries, still in contention for the Europa League and two domestic cups.

      Happy New Year !

      Table looks good.

It's draws that are costing us. Only one defeat via corrupt officials. But those draws are hurting. That's happened in previous seasons as well where draws costs us the title (as well as corrupt officials)

Can't be any higher than top :)

A last minute injury time equaliser, is the only time when a draw feels good......but generally speaking a draw always feels like 2 dropped points.
I still don't buy in to the corrupt official's narrative; incompetent, without doubt....but corrupt suggests there is some clandestine star chamber where the powers that be have all agreed to swindle Liverpool. That is frankly MAGA thinking...it's just not possible.

I guess we will only know how much the draws are hurting in a few months but the fact we’ve not won a game against ‘the big 6’ in the first half of the season is disappointing.

That being said though we are well ahead of where I thought we’d be this season so I’m viewing the next few months as a free hit really.

They're not incompetent mate. City don't seem to have issues with Tierney kavanagh and Taylor ... the Manchester gang. They've had us off for seasons now. Did you think it was just incompetence from officials from manchester that failed to award Everton a penalty against city for handball that would have put us top? Its not incompetence. Its 'prove it' and what you going to do about it. Nothing to do with 'powers that be' . Just Manchester referees who try their utmost to make sure we don't win.

Yesterday Tierney tried everything to have us off ... as I say ... plain sight.

If you think they're just rubbish then fair enough. Your entitled to differ from my view on it 👍

With regard to the draws. Performance wise Brighton Luton City United and Chelsea a draw was all we deserved really. Arsenal was 2 points dropped.

On paper Luton United Brighton and Arsenal was 2 points dropper. I'd take a point at city and Chelsea every year.

Anytime we don't win at home I see it as 2 points dropped.

Just to follow on ... same again against Newcastle when we get reacquainted with another Manchester referee we've had major issues with  Anthony Taylor from wythenshawe Manchester.

Apart from one sloppy pass in the second half I thought Endo has another really good game.

What a clever signing he was so glad we signed him over Caicedo.

Strangely enough, it was in Serie A, and the snooker. Why would EPL officials be exempt. They're all human, and all have a price. I'm not saying it is definitely going on, I'm just saying don't count it out.
