Liverpool 2-1 Fulham: In game and Post Match discussion
      Jan 10, 2024 07:00:27 pm

Anfield under the lights for League Cup

Liverpool FC Starting XI: Kelleher, Gomez, Van Dijk, Konate, Diaz, Mac Allister, Jones, Elliott, Jota, Gravenberch, Bradley.

Liverpool Subs: Alisson, Nunez, Gakpo, Clark, Gordon, McConnell, Beck, Quansah, Nyoni.

Conor Bradley starts Liverpool's Carabao Cup semi-final, first-leg clash with Fulham.

The 20-year-old replaces the injured Trent Alexander-Arnold in defence as the Reds make five changes from the weekend victory at Arsenal.

Caoimhin Kelleher starts in goal at Anfield, while Virgil van Dijk returns following illness. Elsewhere, Ryan Gravenberch and Diogo Jota come back into the line-up.

He will enter in the second half, needs some time on the bench, plus Jota and Diaz are on a better form.

Jürgen seems reluctant to change style and start a right footer on the right.

Part of the debate I was having with Lallana in the other thread and why if anything I think we're slightly short on that side and more obvious when Mo isn't there

Anyway I see this as our tournament. Always love the League Cup and adding it again will breed more winning mentality for this group

Hoping to see more of a contribution from Gravenberch, so far he's the only addition to the squad I have moderate concern about....Needs a big big step up. Fingers crossed for him tonight.

He will mature under Klopp. He needs time and Klopp will give him adequate time for him to reach his potential.

Time for Gravenberch to step up. Seen glimpse's of what he can do. Think he needs to be given a bit of a run,, to be fair, to stake his claim. Got a chance tonight to impress.

      2-0....ok but watch it
      3-0.....home and slightly damp
      4-0.....start booking the Wembley hotel.

That looks more or less a full strength Fulham team?
Know we should do this but they do have a couple of players who can cause us some problems if we're not at it right away. Let's not forget we were behind until the Samurai let go a worldie in the 86th (I think) minute!
I love Harvey but am not sure he's in the best place out there on the right as a winger either. Let's hope Peppy Linders has a master plan!

Glad Konate playing go as strong as possible and will support Bradley better . Would like to have seen Darwin in that left wing spot

All fair points.....Like everyone else I hope he comes good. But I can only say what I think, and that is he looks all over the place to me.

If we get a penalty, and we're already comfortably winning, gotta give it to Gomez today.

Any sort of win would be huge considering the injuries.

Yes, my thoughts. But 3:0 would be nice
