The title of the thread is "everyone fit...". I think that when he's fit Thiago is 1 of the best midfielders in the premier league, maybe the world; he's proved that at Liverpool and Bayern. Unfortunately, not able to stay fit for long periods in his career.

Also, he's got something that none of our other midfielders have, his passing ability is on a different level, only Trent has got vision and passing ability comparable to Thiago. Also, he's calmer on the ball when receiving a pass under pressure.

I'm not Thiago hater. I'm on record on here singing this guys praises over and over again. I love Thiago. I dunno if I would say a healthy Thiago is our best midfielder though. I've always felt Thiago made sense in some games, and didn't as much in others.

With that said, a healthy Thiago would bring a completely different dynamic to this team. A lot has changed here since he's last played. Really would be like a spark plug signing.

I'm also not against keeping him for another year, but only if he gave us a legit discount on his weekly wages.

Same as I picked. As for thiago 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. Why anyone would pick him in a do or die game is beyond comprehension. Have they learned nothing from the last 2 plus years.

Do or die I want players I can rely on.

Well thank F**k we don’t have to rely on you, read the brief ffs, it’s a one off final game to win the title, choose who you would like to play in it IF everyone is FIT to play, ideally you’d want him to have a few games under his belt and not just thrown in,

His experience would be invaluable as well as his passing & vision, what the F**k have you learnt the last two plus years ? Not a f***in lot by the looks of it ??

It's obviously a matter of opinion. Our best 11 hasn't really been defined. Could make a case for 2/3 different midfield line up's, ditto the front 3. I'm a Thiago fan. Fit and on form, bring great experience etc but I'm going in with Endo for stability, Trent killer ball, playmaking abilities, energy to get up and down, stinging shot. And Dom for his all round attacking mentality, the confidence of youth, energy and press.etc.

I'm putting Gomez in at right back, a confident Joe is a formidable defender. We need his strength at the back in this one off, just as we need Trent released from his defensive duties. Nunez in for his all round aggression and pace and influence on defenders.

Jota for his predatory skills and ability just to make that telling pass or run in build ups. But I'm not even sure the backroom staff would agree on our best 11.

Thanks mate but it didn't let me put Nunez where I actually want him so going with this as it's a one off and Jürgen will never pick it but would love to see how many goals per game we would get with this lineup. 4-4-2 for me.

This would also be my team if all players were fit and in top personal form.  This puts our best 11 players in their best positions, and in such a way that creates a nicely balanced side.

A fully fit Thiago would unleash Mac Allister in what is his best position.
No sure if we'll ever see it at this stage but that would be IMO our best midfield.

Jota up front because he's clutch and Nunez in for the chaos element his pace causes.

Thiago is one of my all time fave footballers to watch, he glides with the ball, his drop of shoulder to get past people is superb, passing is sublime and his tackling is also under rated.

Thiago is easily our most talented midfielder. The only reason I didn't go for him is DLS was asking for the strongest 11 if it boiled down to us needing to win the final game of this season.

For me I don't see a scenario where Thiago is up to speed enough to nail on a position in our strongest 11 this season.

Yep, I considered this very thought and decided to add him anyway, assuming he would indeed be fit and ready to play, as described in the brief, of course we all hope he makes his long awaited introduction a few games prior to the final countdown as it were, and indeed be up to speed, or nearest to it, we live in hope I guess!!

You can compare the stats here: https://datamb.football/midfielders/

Going off that and sticking to the brief of everyone being fit then 22/23 Thiago
bolts into the deeper role behind Szoboszlai and Mac Allister.

Agree mate, also gives us even more options, any combination using the mids you mentioned, basically any two of six, also opposing managers wouldn’t know whether to stick or twist, which three would they be facing, and who to play against them, we could play more solidly, or switch to attack in a instant, we all know he’s knocking on now and if we’re all honest this will be his last Hurrah probably, I hope he makes it, what a player to bring in for the run in !!

      Final game shoot out?

      Allison

      Trent    Konate    Virgil    Robertson

      Endo

      Szoboszlai       Jones

      Salah         Gakpo        Jota

Surprised a few have went for Thiago.

And I was thinking Joe Gomez but winner take all it has to be Robbo.

      Scratch that. MacAllister starts.
