600 million spent in their last Transfer window was it/ They were sh*t and we made them look like a Championship side at a stretch.

Easily could have been 8 or 9 but I will take 4-1 over these cu*ts any day of the week.

Superb effort lads and to think we get to add Mo to that squad out there tonight! Wowieeeeee

Oh and Diogo I love you!

One good thing after this game is that we have all the so called tough games at home except for Arsenal, Brentford and Villa.

What a performance, we were excellent in all departments. We should have scored much more and they only had their goal where we were penetrated. They might had one soft penalty not given but none of them were so clear.

I really hope that we play with the same energy in all our league games.

Starting to go up a few gears now. The league performances have certainly improved since those disappointing dropped points at home to United and Arsenal.

Hopefully we can continue from last night and lay down a proper marker on Sunday.

Nunez will be getting the 'nickname'...Woody. The pen didn't matter in the end but I would've given it to Macca. So cool on the ball and much more confident of his belief now. But yer can't call out Nunez, he's just so desperate to do well for us. He wants it more than we want it ourselves almost.

That makes Darwin’s shots fairly accurate though. You have to be that good to chalk up stats like this.

If you hit the woodwork it means you have missed the target though, so in fact opposite to what you have said 😄

Is it just my delusion or do our players play with even more urgency and effort since Jürgen‘s bye-declaration?

Yes. We were very good in construction. Generally, we are good on the counter and quite average in possession but yesterday we were playing very quickly, one two touches and very incisive. Jota and Jones played a big part in it and Mac Allister is very confident in the role now. He really starts attacks quickly with his passing.

We were lucky with the penalties. Chelsea could have got one or two.

Bradley, Jota, Nunez, MacAllister and Jones stood our for me. Very mature performances.

I do think we brought something extra last night, whether it’s because of Jürgen’s announcement or not I couldn’t say.
But one thing’s for sure; these lads adore the man and it speaks volumes for him and them that they are giving that kind of response, to a man!
The fans were outstanding too, of course.

Now we need to sustain it and bring home what they and he so deserve.

Brilliant performances from the whole team tonight, Conor Bradley looks like he has been in that position for years , fabulous from him ! Mac showing his class now and dominating the midfield ,Hard not to enjoy Darwin's performances ,manic, chaotic....but he puts everything into it ,so dangerous , Must be hard for Jürgen to watch his team play so well and pick his best 11, not missing Mo with performances like this is a great position to be in .

Dare I whisper that not having Mo lately has improved us, or am I reading too much into it?

Does he walk straight back in if we keep dominating like this?

We were going pretty well with Mo in the side too.

Of course he comes straight back in, but it's great to see we're not as reliant on Mo for goals as before.

The positive I'd take from the front 3 firing without Salah, Bradley and Gomez being in form when Trent and Robbo are out,
is that players wont need to be rushed back and can be kept fresh for the rest of the season.

About Caicedo, we dodged a bullet . He seems lazy and can't be bothered to track his man and in our first goal he completely gave up.

I think you highlight an interesting point. With Mo on the pitch it seems an almost default tactic to give him the ball at every opportunity, this can make us a little one dimensional, and a tad predictable at times.

It's right that everybody fights for a place. Trent & Robbo, albeit probably not 100%, didn't stroll back in, nor should Mo. Playing say Mo, Jota and Nunez wouldn't necessarily be the best front 3. Diaz comes into serious consideration. Cody is becoming more of a back up, but nobody gets in on their name and past heroics.

Another very good all round performance last night, with Conor Bradley once again outstanding. 4 goals for the Reds with Nunez hitting the woodwork on a number of occasions.

Jota seems to be in fine goalscoring form, Diaz also finding the back of the net. I really enjoyed Conor's strike. On this sort of form the Reds should fear nobody in the coming games ahead.

Yeah but they defended very badly..I mean if they defend that badly in the final..Nunez will have a field day..he could easily hit the woodwork 3 or 4 times..

I'd say second half they looked ropey defensively but first half we just ground them down with great great play.

They were very compact so we had to work our way through but we did it. It was beautiful varied football. Konate as ever timed his balls over the top to perfection. Macallister would slip it through and straight on the ground. Dom, always making himself available.
