Can’t believe the contrast between today and against Chelsea
Chelsea are dog sh*t, bud. They showed that today at the Bridge. Night and day against the opposition we faced today

Indeed they are. But also, we put in a massive shift Wednesday. Think I read we ran 8km more than Chelsea (probably says plenty about Chelsea) but Klopp did say after the game everyone was exhausted after the game in the dressing room

Our play against the top 6 is what has killed us this season

      Lost and drew to Arse
      Drew to City
      Lost to Tottenham
      Beat Villa
      Drew to Man Utd.

That's 6 points out of 18. We can talk all the sh*t about Utd that we want, but you have to beat them at home. Villa are a different side than the one we played earlier in the season, and we will play them away in May.

We gout pumped for beating the F**k out of Chelsea, but they followed that up with getting slaughtered at home by Wolves. They suck. We HAVE to beat Utd and Villa away and City and Tottenham at home if we want the title. Beating Brentford and Burnley isn't going to get you anything other than 2nd or 3rd this year.

Leagues still in our hands, but we have to start beating the good teams

Yeah but the home games v Arse and Man U we deserved to win. And we were even more unlucky to lose to Spurs. sh*te officiating cost us in 2 of those games. Today was the only one that we actually deserved.

In the words on Clint Eastwoods best ever character, William Money "deserves got nothing to do with it".

We HAVE to find away to win the games against these teams. Period.

You have to assume City will win everything, because you've seen them do it in the past. We have to squeeze everything out of this title run.

      Still in our hands.

Put in a good few crap first half's and that was as bad as any. Got a lucky goal. Showed a bit more second half but it was short lived. Not as if they're a poor team but their not world beaters either.

Still top, still very much in the mix. Regroup. Move on.

Support Conor as much as we can, that's the most important off the field aspect.

Don't know pal but I think Klopp and Ljinders use it in as a gauge in 2024

Unusual for the keeper and two CB to all look like they've played together for this first time.

Arsenal seem to have really got up for this one and possibly an element that we took it a tiny bit for granted perhaps?

Arteta always looks like a guy that would rather beat us once and lose to everyone else in the league. Not sure why he's such a bee in his bonnet with us. But shows how much beating is means to people

Klopp said about 5 times on sky we didn’t play. We didn’t play at all. Absolutely right. We were weirdly direct. That seemed to be our only play time and again.

Bad day at the office for sure. Yes we fu**ed it up today.  But there are alot of twists and turns before the season ends

Considering we were without our regular LB CDM RW RCM and RB Trent was in his first game back. It's not the end of the world or season.

I dont think City will win all their games remaining , neither will we, or Arse.

City still come to Anfield, and play Arsenal again. Us and Arsenal are finished.

The league may be decided next month when we play City. Who knows for sure. It's probably a must win now , but if we want to win the league you have to beat the champs. I still fancy our chances at home vs them with a full squad.

We have 3 league games before then. Burnley H , Brentford A, Forest A.  All winable. Nobody go jump off a cliff just because today's result.

      Long way to go

It always seems to be the case in football that an outstanding performance is often followed by a poor one. I’m not apportioning blame - Arse were better than us today, end of. We looked tired, disjointed and slow-witted.
Biggest take-away for me is how much we missed the young man who lost his dad this week.

Looked very short of energy today. Going for 4 is F***ing hard. In the time we’ve had 7 games, arsenal have had 3.

Agreed. Why would we not have faith in them? Top of the league, and if it weren’t for circumstances outside Jürgen’s control before the game I don’t believe we’d have lost today.

Thought Arsenal's midfield played brilliantly. We rarely had an option through the middle. Klopps use of the full backs was strange. Gomez coming into midfield more then Trent then swapping Joe for Trent, not the right choice in my opinion. Nunez should have started. Beaten by the better team today. Nice if Brentford take a few point off City tomorrow.

Seen a few people criticising not starting Nunez.

He did tell everyone through the week he was struggling to put a F***ing boot on.

      Just listen!

Take your point but if he was able to come on he was able to start. Got to take those risks with injuries sometimes no. Everyone is listening mate..

If memory serves we were poor in the first half of the cup here but today we just didn't have any real spark. The mid had no spark. But we were bound to get clobbered putting in crap first half displays like that. The 'get out of jail card free' doesn't always work.

No idea why Nunez didn't start. Need his aggression and pace. Jones best position is the holding position. He doesn't have enough nous to play the attacking midfield.

      Regroup, move on.

But we all knew that and Klopp said, 'it was tactical.' If he wasn't 100% he shouldn't be risked. I don't blame the Boss, we were just poor to a man.
