Injuries shouldn't derail a season. You should go in a season knowing players will injured, or out of form. A title winning team need a strong squad.

I think we are on the same page, I am saying a team with ambition should be prepared for injuries or out of form players. Meaning we should have a good enough squad that reduce the pressure on first team players. If you don't have quality in squad, then injuries will derail the season. Have quality backups then the injuries have less effect.

One of the reason behind city's success is quality of their squad. All I am saying is that we should have had prepared better for this. We have seen this happen to us before, VVD injury. It seems like we didn't learn anything from that.
