More chance we sign a new 9 than Arne giving the youngsters a shot. This is only like his 2nd game this season and the plan for him was always to go out on loan.

I was really impressed by him in those few appearances last season. Didnt he bag a brace in one of them. Looked really confident.

We need a new 9 ... but there is no chance of getting one unless we bring money in for spending which means cutting our losses on nunez. Sell to buy. Will never change. So id rather spend 6 months involving danns and have a look at him, give him appearances here and there and involve him and increase his experience,  all while coming up with a plan for the summer and doing the work between now and then to make it happen. And obviously move nunez on at the end of the season to push through the incoming transfer

I love Diogo ... great player and finisher ... but we need another one for competition and depth and above all more quality than we currently have when Diogo is not available

Well he's not, because Jota and Gakpo are both better and have been doing it against far far far far far superior opposition.

But even if he was, how can you judge that based on a few goals against Accrington and Southampton's 2nd string side?

You can tell watching him that he's a natural finisher. Should be given his chance next season and take Darwins position in the squad.

Speaking of Doak, wasn't in Boro's matchday squad in their FA cup loss today (congrats to Beck btw), possibly signalling a move away is closer than we think. One to keep an eye on.

Displayed more of a striker's instinct when he came on than the other big fella next to him.

At only 18 may be a little too young to leave the nest on a loan. Maybe it’s better to keep him at the academy and give him cup games so we have control over his minutes and coaching.

Don't like comparing players to ones I don't really like but Danns reminds me a bit of a young Kane. Eye for goal but can link up the play as well.

We all know Nunez won't make it here so if Danns doesn't get loaned out he deserves those minutes because who knows - he might make a name for himself here.
