Diaz can't finish for sh*t. All he can do is run and pray for the best, Jota would've had a hatrick in this game. Gakpo is useless so no point even subbing him on.

Probably BUT I think the point being made although there's no way of knowing or proving that happens at the Etihad in injury time that gets given....nothing we can do now I suppose

The ref says unintentional so nothing for LFC. Odengaard hand ball in his own box? Everything is unintentional so they don’t have to give us anything.

But he also goes for the ball and even touches it. No penalty, at least no gross mistake in not giving it.

But Fibo..the position of the ball is immaterial...you can't just lunge your boot at it if it's at chest high. It was dangerous and reckless challenge and VAR made an immediate call. "Coming together"...that makes it legit to go for any ball regardless of the height of the ball.Either VAR ref doesn't know the law or he side steps the law.

Just stop. That’s a clear foul and since it’s in the box it’s a clear penalty. Even the soccer knobs on Reddit are pretty much in full agreement that it was a bad call and they typically hate Liverpool.

You can’t raise your boot that high in the close vicinity of another player.
      Reckless and dangerous.
Red card offence wether you touch the ball or not. Making contact with the opposing player is the issue, not the ball.

Why not? Win every game and score more goals and lift the GD. Okay everything is difficult for you and you just can’t see it. The pundits will be on City to win the league as always. Such lazy pundits.

No but when they both draw or City win it will be worrying  thing is I see Arsenal turning them over especially if they play like they did second half

Diaz was awful. Worst player on the pitch.

Sometimes you sound like a total dick. You really do. Yes he should have scored but he had so many good moments. His work rate, commitment and tireless running shone out. Honestly, to stick the boot in when a player gives that kind of effort. Not what I’ve come to expect from a Liverpool fan, quite the opposite.

Great game. Great performance, especially in the second half, not often you see City hanging on and desperate. We were the better team, but at the same they hit the woodwork a couple of times.

I'm not gonna complain too much about the penalty. Could have been but not a stonewaller for me.

Gave Diaz MOTM. Unbelievable energy and determination that second half, some great skill as well. Yes he should have scored but he put in a great performance. Close behind him were Mac (what a player we have signed there, cracking midfielder), Endo, Virgil and Elliot. Got to mention Quansah as well. The confidence of the young guy in a game like that, looks like Virgil junior already.

A draw is far from a disaster. We are a point above them with them n Arsenal still to play. And that performance shows we are ready to win this league.

I mean it kind of is. Arsenal aren’t going to win out, believe they still have to play City.

      Yup.

I believe Curtis got the ball first for his red card as well? And his was actually unavoidable.

Mac Allister is my MOTM. Hardly put a foot wrong. Was everywhere at the same time and did everything and anything with high proficiency. Very cool from the spot.

It's a shame we couldn't finish one of the chances we created in that second half.

No Jota, no Trent, no Alli, no Konate, no Jones and a half-fit Salah. That was their best 11 out there. Proud as F**k if these lads. A couple of you who have got F**k all positive to say should do one.

But VAR checked it. If it was that clear they would have called Oliver. But they didnt. Of course you can raise your leg, but here Macca stormed into Doku which made it complicated and Doku went for the ball and touched it, that is fact. So overall I can live with it. The wood from Doku could have killed us, so maybe fair heavenly justice.

      Too soon to rationalise?

City will beat Arsenal or at least draw, it's then in our hands again, we got this.

A draw while not what we deserved is a good result for the title race, the performance and the crowd will only help us go on and end on a high.
