When something very special comes to an end, it's natural to feel very sad. Grief is the price of love.
And LFC fans loved Kloppo dearly, just as he loved us. So I expect to feel lost and lonely for some time to come.
These feelings are a tribute to Jürgen: his charismatic leadership, his communication skills, his humanity, warmth and decency, his courage and ambition, his coaching and dynamism, his unfailing optimism.
I'm full of gratitude. To him, of course, for all the joy, excitement and success he gave us. But also to FSG for moving quickly in Autumn 2015 to bring him on board before another club could snap him up.
I'm also relieved that Jürgen recognised the signs of burn-out and made the right call to ensure his own health.
He leaves the club in great shape. His legendary status is guaranteed.
We'll walk on soon again. With hope in our hearts. Enriched by a nine-year love affair with one of the most remarkable Reds in history.
