We had that won so many times, my only grouse is that we lost to a totally sh*te Man U side, we needed to score second half and it would have ended with 5 or 6, but we fu**ed about and got what we deserved

No shot we don't beat United in a few weeks. Just can't see Klopp and company not beating this lot once this season. United are improving, but we're definitely a better side. Hate losing today, but this will have us ready when we go to Old Trafford in the league. To me, that's the toughest game left and I forsee us having a lil extra fire in our belly for it

As long as we stick with our strongest 11 and don't disrupt the balance while were on top !

That will sting for a while, really not sure how we didn’t out the game to bed in the 2nd half. We were so dominant, it was men vs boys but the game changed a bit once Salah went off. Having him play so many minutes on Thursday was a mistake, I know they had intended to take him off on Thursday but he shouldn’t have played more than a half with this game coming up.

The games and the injuries have been catching up with us so being out of this competition isn’t the end of the world. Just so long as we get a win at their place in a few weeks time. It’s all about the league. Hopefully get the likes of Trent and Jones back soon.

The only silver lining is that this result might keep Ten Haag in the job for a while longer.

Even before todays game I’m happy to keep him for now anyway. I just don’t see anyone out there that can improve United at the moment. With so much going on off the pitch I don’t think you lot have anything to be worried about us lot just yet Scott. 😂

I'll cut him a bit of slack as he's not match sharp...but broadly speaking I'm in agreement. Everything was all undercooked from him today, he hit one shot which was basic catching practice for the keeper...even his passing was lethargic and predictable. You can't play at this level without some element of aggression, and today sadly he was too passive throughout.

Nobody stays at the same level and I'm very appreciative of his fantastic play over the years he's been here. The SP game didn't do us any favours. Said so after the game. Practice match in not what we needed.

In the same sense United lulled us with their useless play from 35-80 minutes. Once they upped their game we just lacked a bit of energy. Their a front foot team, get them back peddling and they don't fight and we just didn't put them to the sword. Bad as they are, they do have some quality. Their crap..but you can't take liabilities. Another day we score 4 in the second half.

Could be a lot worse and have nothing else to play for. Fully focused on Brighton for me and then feet up watching Arsenal and City draw

Need to cash out on both Diaz and Gakpo. Dans should be given a chance and Diaz should be replaced with someone who has end product.

This result will mean F**k all if they don't win the trophy!

They can put it into the same box as our 7-0 win last season.

We've got two winnable home games before the rematch so let's not get too down. We let them get away with one today in a competition that will still be hard for them to win if City reach the final. If we hadn't been so badly affected by injuries I'm sure we would have won (Jota would have made the difference). They are ecstatic because they are in a comparatively dire situation of being out of everything except this cup.

I'm just sitting here thinking how this is the worst united team I've seen since the 80s, with a clown in charge. And we couldn't beat them twice this season. And contrived to ship 4 goals to that ....

When we play like that ... and like we did at arsenal ... I have issues believing with confidence we can go to united, Everton, Fulham, villa etc and show the required steel and ruthless instinct to win all those games.

Shot ourselves in the foot with a horrible show at arsenal, when we had a chance to knock them out the title race as they were down at that point and under pressure. Look how that transformed them. They're top now. Then today , against a hopeless team who looked like they didn't believe they could win, snatch defeat in comical circumstances. We have not won the big games this season in the league and now the fa Cup.

Gonna get slaughtered tomorrow and have to sit on this for 2 miserable weeks.

Bad day. But a new day tomorrow eh. Plenty of highs lately. Got to take the lows on the chin. Plenty to play for. But we simply cannot afford any more of those performances in the last 10 games ... 15 if we go all the way in europa.

Well said and very true in both games ad include the Arsenalgame we played like we did last season, and that is plain not good enough Cody, Gravenbach are not good enough for this team, and Diaz is heading that way too
