Arne Slot - LFC Manager (Head Coach)

Certainly tip toed into the job so far, but I'm sure we'll hear plenty into July. Think he'll be in with a chance of success here. But never can tell how it will go with a new manager. Needs the players to back him 100%. No Klopp hangover if that's the phrase.

Hit the ground running we hope. Most top clubs have players in the Euro's and our players in it will probably be a week or two later coming back into pre season work. Couldn't stomach another feckin' City title. Hope they get nobbled for all their financial skulduggery. Manchester Ship Canal league is what they deserve.

That’s the thing though isn’t it, ppl will compare us to how things were under Jürgen, and it’ll take a while for folk to come to terms with a new era, the football may be similar but it won’t be in the changing room, different approach, different philosophy, refreshing ideas, it could take a while for Arne to instill his ideas & methods into the player’s mindsets,
We all need to be patient and back him as much as we backed Jürgen, I don’t remember the transition between Bill & Bob I didn’t study football back then I was just a excited mad mental fan and didn’t look into the inner workings of Liverpool FC,

Now I’m a old Cnut and see it totally differently, I do though have a good feeling about Arne, dunno, call it instinct, the stuff I’ve read and watched has been inspiring, we’re half way thru June so it’s around 2 months to go until the fun starts, as one door closes another opens, and as August draws nearer the excitement will build, can’t wait if I’m honest !!!

That's it, patience is the key word. He'll have all the pre season stuff obviously. I have a good feeling as well but it's a results business. We all know patience goes out the window soon as we lose a game or two. The transfer window is open, we will do some business I'm sure. Ramsey has gone on loan. Arne will have a decision to make over Trent. Bradley is a year stronger but so is Elliott. Who plays right sided Mid. Dom comes into it. Not convinced by him. So Arne has a few issues and getting that one right will be vital.

Fresh ideas etc. Going to be a season to remember. No middle ground here. We are not Villa, more than happy with 4th. We demand more, much more.Is Arne up to the task and not just this season..year in year out. This is the coal face Arne, hope he knows what's expected. Good luck Arne. The kop is watching.

Very good first interview on LFCTV. Calm, respectful and knowledgeable about the Club and the City....Exciting times ahead.

Nice touch with the awareness to give time for Klopp to leave and essentially let things breathe / conclude before he gave his first interview.
Klopp farewell was a great moment for Jürgen and now that players are away with the Euros and Copa America it's a good time for Slot to settle in.

We won't know if we could have done any better till he's been in the job awhile, but we sure as hell could have done a lot worse. He seems articulate and measured and aware of the task before him. Will be an interesting season for sure, hopefully we can hit the ground running and avoid any periods of stagnation that might turn some of the more fickle fans against him. We can't become United, really need this to work.

He's definitely his own man. Very shrewd. I liked the part where he said you get the feeling at Liverpool that "this means more". Right out of the LFC Cookbook!

I hope he's successful. I've got a feeling he will be.

Good stuff. Quite a down to earth bloke.But could just see he has a serious strong side. Pleasant but don't go thinking he's like that all the time.Said himself..82 pts.."I want more".That's what we need, respect for what Klopp did but he wants to improve the squad and get more. Good.
