As I said before in other player threads, he does not any 'obligation' to any player since he was not the person who wanted the transfer. He can drop, rotate or play how he wants, who he wants and won't look bad in their eyes.

Ironically, the players can say the same but they won't look great if want a transfer and not playing well.

It's one thing that will be interesting as this season progresses. As you say Arne is coming in with fresh eyes and had no perceived thoughts or even loyalties to any of these players so it's really up to them to claim their place in any side or squad.

Initial reaction is that he doesn't quite seem to see a fit for Endo and Nunez in particular. In saying that though it could be he's found a solid 12/13 that he felt was right to start the season before making changes and the games pile up.

      Intriguing.

Jürgen was always accused throughout his career of having tired players at the end of the season.
Imagine if Arne finds a way of having strong fit players at the run in.
It's all bollix of course as the players are constantly managed by the sports science dept .

      Difference in style.

Hence us now being accused of being more boring cos we're not playing full pelt like Klopp

Was pretty scary at moments though mate.

Every time the ball goes near our defence, I sh*t myself unless it's near Virg. He seems on another planet defensively at the moment. At the top of his game!

It’s still early days yet but I see a very good side developing, yes there will still be problems to iron out as we seen yesterday when the ‘Mouths’ had a go at counter attacking, a better side may had more fruits from that particular tree and sent us into panic mode,
The accolades will go to Lucho, Grav & Nunez and pats on the back for Macca, Kells and Virg the rest were decent and did their jobs, Mo was off key a bit but there is plenty of room for improvement all round,

It’s a good thing we’re rotating the players giving game time and allowing adequate rest it’s a long hard season so we’ll need everyone ready to rock when required, losing Grav doesn’t bear thinking about so maybe come January we’ll bring in another DM, or we’d have to alter slightly if Endo plays,
Loving how we’re seeing more goals from midfield as well as from Mo the magician, I believe we’ll be right in the mix again this season Red tints or not Keith and like I’ve said before we’re on a upwards trajectory and will keep improving, Arse tho very good have major injuries to contend with and Cheats have ageing players and are reliant on keeping Haaland fit, if he gets crocked who’s scoring for them ?

Don’t think anyone has cause to complain, Arne is developing a already good side into a great one with still plenty room for improvements, we already are seeing some additions in the background being readied for the next generation so we’re in very good shape.

Think we got the Wolverines next away, in the league, another difficult hurdle to get over but it’s a challenge we should overcome!!

We now know how good slot is. One loss and to a defensive team. Now to observe how he overcomes the low block teams. It’s important if we want to go far.

Still think there’s a lot of work to do defensively. Midfield linking up with forwards is good, midfield to defence not so. Still giving sides too many opportunities in my opinion. The set up and execution needs a tweak or two.
Better sides will take those chances.

Personally, I’ll give my verdict on Slot mid season for what it’s worth.

Expect a transitional season with some unexpected results like Forest. Our forwards are scoring goals our midfield creating and our defense preventing . Away win in CL its got to be 9 out of 10 for me so far

More players coming out saying they are enjoying working with Arne which is great and before the comments about  Jürgen start it's great to hear and I bet Jürgen is also delighted

Very promising start to the season, despite loss against Forest. It seems the side is still improving under Arne Slot.

It's all about City and Arsenal the best two teams in the league. That suits us fine 1 point of the top with best defence and best gd

Sure. I was thinking similar yesterday, then it dawned on me, we have only played Ipswich, Brentford, Utd, Forest, and Bournemouth, and we lost to Forest.

So too early to form much of an opinion other than it's been mostly positive.

You can only play who is in front of you and to be honest, other than City and Arsenal...there really aren't any teams that you would call "elite".

Yea apart from those two I'd fancy us to take 6 points off every other team in the league on most days.

Obviously results like Forest happen but hopefully that was a bit of a wake up call not to get complacent

Agreed. But, then again, we have yet to face Spurs, Villa, Chelsea, and Newcastle. Perhaps not elite, but good sides with the players to test you.

I remember the devastating news when Bill Shankly left it was national news. Bob was smart enough to use what he had been left and not mess around too much and Arne is smart enough and humble enough to realise the gift he had been given he is a perfect man to follow our beloved  Jürgen think we are in for some more special days

You're forgetting that Utd, just last year we draw twice. We played Milan away too.

Slot is doing fine. He too honest in the media which I do not like. I like that stuff is done behind close doors.

I’ll take all the results right now. We have done well for all our games bar forest. It’s a deep sitting team and we have perpetually struggled with these defences. So no complaints. We won the games we should have won.

Don't think Utd and Milan are bankers and certainly wouldn't expect 6 away goals.

Can’t argue with his decision making again last night, made nine changes and still came away with a convincing win,
It was sticky first half but you have to expect that making so many changes,

Again we went one down but how we reacted was impressive, Chiesa went for the spectacular but hit the floor and Jota did the rest, felt he made a statement to Arne last night with his contribution, I think he’ll start Vs Wolves,
Wham didn’t offer too much until the changes, by then it was already too late, and we were better again when we made our own changes, Macca allowed Jones to move up and Mo was, just Mo, I sensed Hammers hearts dropping when he came on, and of course the inevitable happened,
Cody was immense on that left flank and he and Diaz are giving Arne nightmares,

Who starts V Wolves now? I’d rotate 65/30, alternate games, Diaz 65 Gakpo 30 then reverse it next match, keep them fresh and hungry, we’re blessed to have those two to choose from we really are,
All over the pitch we have competition a part from Grav, he has become undroppable, and we need to find a more able replacement than Endo, maybe Bacjetic after his loan spell, who knows but Grav getting injured doesn’t bear thinking about, so don’t!!

What we’re seeing is a very good side enhanced by Arne’s influence and tweaks, and thus far no one can deny it’s pretty impressive, we were all worried when Jürgen hung up his snood but that worry is no more, well it is if you don’t support Liverpool, Keith !!

Great job so far Arne, I’m glad you’re at our wheel!!
