Pre-season is just around the corner, our American chums will mostly have the pleasure of this money spinning adventure. Meat and Potato pies exchaged for tacos and "real american" cheese, mmm, I can feel the heatburn.

Not too sure about the MLS schedule, but wouldn't it have been nice to play some Soccer teams? Robbo could push Messi over again, but no, just the usual merry-go-round of nonsensical match ups.

27th seems a bit late to start, I'd imagine we'll arrange something against Preston or Blackpool like we usually do a week before we jet off just to get the youngers guys + the ones that aren't playing internationally up to some kind of rhythm.

We start pre-season this month. Hope he gets his full staff to back him up. Come on Slot, work your ass off to succeed because that means we will be successful and happy.

Friday July 26 – v Real Betis – kick-off 7.30pm EST

Wednesday July 31 – v Arsenal – kick-off 7.30pm EST

Saturday August 3 – v Manchester United – kick-off 7.45pm EST

Sunday August 11 – v Sevilla – kick-off 12.30pm BST

Looking forward to when the real  season kicks off, although not much of a break from football this summer, with the Euros only ending on Sunday !

I thought we'd have had a full pre-season where we played about 6-7 games, we usually play 2/3 championship/league 1 sides before we jet off on tour, take it none of that is taking place even behind closed doors then.

27th July is quite a late start given the likes of Utd, Spurs etc have already gotten underway....then I suppose Chelsea and City don't start until a few days before us.

Working in the gym, on the training pitch and spending time talking to players about his style of play is probably better than playing against league 2 teams.

There is a relatively small gap between the Euros and PL season. I think most teams will be slow to get fully up and running this season.
