      Trey Nyoni Player Thread (M)

This kid looks like he has a real chance! Didn't put a foot wrong Vs Betis, always looking to play forwards, looks very comfotable on both feet, also looks about 14 years old! Bright Future!

Looks a very tidy player. Needs to lose a bit of weight though.

Quite the opposite. He needs to get stronger for the PL not lose weight.

He looks good but there are a lot of numbers ahead of him at the moment for a midfield role.

Will be interesting to see what Slot does with him.

He also needs to lose some of his talent if he ever wants to make it here.....it won't be fair on the rest of the Prem otherwise!!!!!

We do have a lot of promising kids coming through right now. Especially midfielders. Part of me wants Slot to give them a chance (particularly like the look of Tyler Morton). But if he does and we come up short we'll all be up in arms about why didn't we buy x or y instead of relying on kids, no doubt me included. Who'd be a manager. Slot's got to watch them in training and then make the calls. Hopefully he can strike a balance between delivering success quickly and bringing some kids through at the same time.

Loved his forward passes, not backwards and sideways like others.

Keep it up kiddo and you may just get your chance sooner then you expected!

Same here, that was really noticeable, his first thought was always forward. Physically he doesn’t look ready for EPL football BUT in a side that is looking to keep the ball and play a possession based game I wonder if this lad may see some significant action this season rather than going out on loan or under 23s.

Might not be a bad idea, Tyler M benefitted from loan spells to Blackburn & Hull respectively, he was like Trey a promising youngster albeit a tad older, however he has developed very nicely and became a better player for it, he’s predominantly a holding midfielder similarly to Bajcetic but I noticed Arne had him as makeshift CB latterly Vs Betis, not sure he’s tall enough for that role so I’m guessing he was just filling in,

Trey is special, he has great balance for someone so young, he’s a bit of a lightweight but what do you expect from a 17 year old kid, Arne is smart, he’ll recognise his potential and will protect him, no doubt he will fill out a bit as he develops and will inevitably have those niggly injuries that happen as his body changes, in short he has to grow into his skin, Curtis suffered with growing pains as his body developed, hence all his injuries a season or two back, everyone is different I guess but he is still a kid so ease the lad in gently,

So maybe a loan deal with a Championship club will be ideal for him in his development, I’m sure as a club we’ll do the right thing for him.

The guy should be playing in the U20s/21s, u18 level is well beneath him now.

Hard not to get hyped by this kid. Not even sure where he plays as seems to rotate across a bunch of midfield roles. Smashing every test that comes his way.

Almost certain he will otherwise I don't think we'd have kept him around, everyone we've sent on loan is because they wouldn't have had any minutes here.

Only a matter of time for this kid, he has a lovely weighted pass on him, can spot an early pass and won't dwell on the ball like a Jones or Endo might. These are already 2 very highly thought of attributes for any young midfielder. Plus judging by pre-season, his u18s performances for England this/last week and his u21s performances for us last season......he has an eye for goal.

I would put him on the bench against Forest, if we are comfortably winning, I would introduce him for the last 15 minutes.

With Elliott injured, Endo, Jones, Morton and him are the midfield options since Bajectic was loaned out for regular playing time.
