LFC Reds Prediction League 2024-25

PREDICTION LEAGUE 2024-25  (Season 18!)

It is the beginning of a new dawn.  It's a whole new level of unpredictability! Which is great for the Prediction League!

Last season AlwaysTheKop won at a bit of a canter  (clint_call01 collected the League Cup Managers award). 

There are a maximum of 7 points available per fixture.

Who will be the LFC Reds Manager of the Year for 2024/25

The points system (There are a maximum of 7 points available for a perfect prediction)

1 point for correct home score
1 point for correct away score
1 point for correct difference between scores (e.g you predict 1-0 and it ends up 2-1)
3 points for correct match result
1 point bonus for all correct

Prizes

A potential £280 is available in prizes this year.

1. The overall Manager of the Year will win £130 and at least a year's homage from the rest of the forum.

2. If Liverpool win one of the three cup competitions entered next season all predictions for that competition alone will also be calculated and the cup competition winner will receive an extra £50 per cup competition.  A Premier League only prize, will only be awarded if a) we win the league and b) we haven't won any other cup competition.

Every forum member can play along but only members who have donated or subscribed to the forum will be eligible for the cash prizes.  The Manager of the Year is the highest placed subscriber.

To be eligible for the Manager of the Year prize and competitions you must be a subscriber by the 29th October 2024 through to the final game of the season.

Simple Rules

We include all competitive fixtures.  We try to have a months worth of predictions available at all times but the potential for cup replays etc can affect this. You can predict up to an hour before kick off, but at times this may be limited to 2 hours before kick off. 

Don't leave it too late to enter your predictions.

Rules: Forum staff will not accept any predictions via PM.  It is your responsibility to enter your predictions in plenty of time.  The link to the Prediction League is always at the top of this thread and from the 'LFC+' menu at the top of the forum.  Only forum subscribers as stated above are eligible for the cash prizes.  Match scoreline is at the end of normal time or at the end of extra time if played. In the event of two players on the same points, the number of perfect predictions decides.  Goal difference (difference between goals you predict v actual goals scored) are not used to separate players.  The forum administrator's decision is final.

Well i'm on board for the first game of our season. One which I often miss out on. Gonna try and predict with my head and not my heart this season and hope that will fair better.
Can't wait to get underway with the new manager and his tactics. Think it's gonna be a roller coaster sort of ride, but i'm still expecting more ups than downs.

Had us down for 1-2 but thinking Slott will be a bit more tactically aware with our back line so with that in mind, upped it to 1:3 😊

Rules say there are 7 points available per fixture but the scoring system looks like it's only 6. What am I missing? Have I had too much booze and can no longer add?

Ah, so the home and away "scores" actually means the GOALS scored by the home and away teams respectively in a single game? I read that as just predicting the score in either a home or away game. Ok that does now add up to 7. It wasn't the booze, I wouldn't have figured that out sober either!

Tis all good, another 4 for me today. Evidently thought it was gonna be tight game at 2-1 but I’m glad to be proven wrong!

What a fool I am putting a draw

Last season still weighing on my judgment I think… haven’t predicted a clean sheet yet… might be time to forget the past and be positive for some more clean sheets… I have ptsd from all those games conceding first 

Next three games added.  Awaiting confirmation of League Cup date and then rest of September will be added.
