Some of ypu act as those the sky is falling and we will be fighting for relegation. Others like Lallana is all rossy and it's fine that this has happened more than twice now. It's probably somewhere in between. Grav looked good in the small sample I've seen him in the 6. We know Stefan has a lot of potential and Macca is very versatile. A lot are acting like when we bought Endo last season, we got a bag of bricks in return. I wonder how many of you were sucking him off in the player thread, as he played a big part in a good season last year.

This is not a good start for Edwards and Hughes. I do think we need a player capable of running while protecting the D. We also would prefer him be good on the ball, as Slots system requires this. I hope they have an alternative. You can't tell me that Zubi is the only guy in world football that fits into our system.

Time will tell. Game week boys!!!!!

Because we love to piss about.

& this isn't even no attempt at being knee jerky, trolling or whatever....we genuinely get our pants pulled down for being too smart ofr our own good. Lavia-Caicedo was utterly humiliating.

Losing out to Madrid, fine. A player that never wanted to leave his boyhood, fine. Not bothered we're not signing him, bothered why we chased a player that previously turned down Barca, Bayern and Arsenal but somehow thought he'd say yes to us? What kind of amateurs are running this asylum?

Are you unable to read - you do know that they clearly said that he said yes to us

Does your buddies in high school tease you about not signing a few footballers then?

Please tell me you're a child buddy and not an actual grown up?

It was a humiliating series of events for the club. Losing 2 players to a washed up club like Chelsea, come on. This is Liverpool football club, might want to give yourself a reminder of that fact.

2 bids rejected for Lavia, told to F**k off. Go for Caicedo, check this....a player Chelsea had been chasing since the start of the summer and his agent had already said he'll accept a move (something we knew full well).....told to F**k off and made a fool of, go back in for Lavia with a third bid and told to F**k off, hour later Chelsea sign the guy right under our noses for no other reason to point and laugh, bragging rights is all this window is to them. Chelsea football club. This isn't the kind of sh*t I'd have the energy to tell a group of F***ing bone headed kids.

Thankfully, thankfully it turned out alright in the end because the Chelsea hierachy are even more clueless about football than our guys.

With phrases like “washed up” club etc it’s like a carbon copy of the twitters

Who gives a sh*t about “bragging rights” in regards transfers

Are you the sort that wants to “win the transfer window”

Nothing humiliating about Zubimendi choosing to stay, little naive from us to chase for a whole week when we knew there wouldn't be a breakthrough, Hughes must've been the only person on the planet that was kept from this open secret. Now as a result it looks like no new DM, no new CB or defender, nobody of note and rolling with essentially what is the same squad as last season. Lessons to be learned and the line is drawn.

The Lavia-Caicedo saga, don't get me resumed. Some fans feel obliged to defend every course of action this club takes? For what? It doesn't make you anymore of a superfan. Be true to yourself and see this club as a club where it should be, not what you think is casually acceptable.

I'd have liked this kid as he looks a player. Wasn't to be though. End of story.

Kids I can understand as that's how kids are when they're big into football.

2 months of waiting, kudos to the fans - they've been patient. For what? To be told there's no one out there available to improve the squad? F***ing PLEASE.

For all of you throwing shade at Lallana for trying to have a rossy look on life, wind your neck. This Zubi situation sucks, and was probably handled wrong in hindsight, but this is also the same group that built the best side most of us have ever seen. This side is still really good and this window has a few more turns yet.

We are the only premier league club yet to make a signing

The new structure has no desire to challenge for number 1, it’s obvious

Feels like they would be happy to top 6 as they saved a lot of money from the lack of transfers and contracts, so won’t feel the pinch of missing out on cl footy

And if people don’t think we are under massive threat of missing out, they are seriously got the tints on

Everyone has improved whilst we have stayed the same near us

This job feels too big for hughes, you can’t mess up a transfer window, this is elite level football. Hes failed in his job to prepare the squad before the season started

I'd advise getting some other hobby or interest if you've spent all summer waiting on a transfer for a football club.

It's a big world out there, it's really not that important

From what I have seen of him he looked like he was a very good fit for the role but he wanted to stay with him home club - can’t fault that

I do hope they look at some other options for one more in there though

Until the tackles are flying in or it’s a scrappy game where we have to dig in and earn a result. He’s never a number 6 dude, I honestly don’t think he will make the grade. He was a late window transfer gamble. He has some ability and can be easy in the eye at times but I would be surprised if he makes a career at LFC.

Mac will have to play the 6 role. He showed he could do it last year.

The manager is going to start the season with a glaring whole in his system and I feel for him. Grav/Jones/Macca are likely to pick up a knock and we have a player who he doesn't rate as our sole number 6. Not only that but we have senior players entering their last year and nothing is being done with about it either.

We don't even need to go big, 50-60m, on these guys. We don't need it.

Value for money, what worked so well under Klopp. ÂŁ30m for Ederson and ÂŁ30m for Frimpong or Bakayoko and everyone is happy(ier), we're not asking for much but getting nothing? Then guess what? Expect nothing come the end of the season. Just don't be all confused thinking where it all went wrong during the season.
