The manager is going to start the season with a glaring whole in his system and I feel for him. Grav/Jones/Macca are likely to pick up a knock and we have a player who he doesn't rate as our sole number 6. Not only that but we have senior players entering their last year and nothing is being done with about it either.

Yup, he has been set up total with both hands tied behind his back

Huge lack of support and has been let down badly

Done being upset over it is what I meant tbh :/

One has to wonder why we have had no targets until right before the season started

What has been done by Hughes and co for months ? Feels like nothing

You still sound upset mate to be fair :D

Give Hughes more time mate, it’s only been a couple of months, he will get around to it

I want Jorg back. He knew how to work release clauses :lmao:

Me? No never, I never get upset 😢

      I’m happy to give Hughes
More time, its clear he needs 4-5-6 months before he can bring in a player to improve the first 11

I wonder how long it takes for him to tie his shoe laces

I find it absurd how we don't have alternatives and we seem to give up when our first target rejects us. It's hard to believe that a club like us doesn't even have other alternatives.

20 pages of sh*te and too much energy invested in scouting this little scamp. That's probably one thing that gets overlooked, the groundwork on a deal. F*ck him off, close this thread and never say another good word about him.

We don't even need to go big, 50-60m, on these guys. We don't need it.

Value for money, what worked so well under Klopp. £30m for Ederson and £30m for Frimpong or Bakayoko and everyone is happy(ier), we're not asking for much but getting nothing? Then guess what? Expect nothing come the end of the season. Just don't be all confused thinking where it all went wrong during the season.

Last summer two midfielders rejected LFC offers.......and FOUR "alternatives" were signed soon after.
      Quite the "give up".

fact is, season starts this week, we've done nothing. only team in the league. and none of the contracts are sorted. it is a bit concerning. and yet we look really good and im looking forward to saturday.

It's more than a bit concerning now, we've had 2 months and none of us know what Edwards and Hughes have been getting up to behind the scenes, could've been exchanging holiday snaps for all we know.

We're in good shape fitness wise, the new style is slowly but surely coming together and the squad is a very good 1.....but there's a few adjustments that need to be made, it's still a necessity to move a few on and bring new faces (who are better than the guys you've moved on) in as well if you've any ambition at all, especially under a new man looking to implement his style.....he said himself he'd be surprised if we didn't bring anyone in.....so you have you wonder what exactly he's been promised.

Just seen the news that this has fallen through.  It's disappointing, but honestly I'd never seen the kid play until the Euros.  I didn't get too excited when we were first linked with him a few days ago -- maybe due to the old adage of avoiding players on the back of a breakthrough international tournament.  We have a good squad and the signs are there that we have a good new manager.  Hopefully we can add 1-2 quality players before the end of the month, but this does little to quell my excitement and/or expectations for the new season.  We're gonna steamroll Ipswich and be top of the league by this time next week!!!  :kop5cf8koxp6:

ok its very concerning. i was trying to be slightly positive.  you've also got virgil literally saying yesterday i wanna see players coming in......

this whole thing with this guy has been weird  though. i said on here the other day, i'm surprised we've even bothered with him. barcelona went for him. he didnt go. apparently arsenal and bayern went for him. he said no. ok by the sounds of it he initially said yet to us, but still, just seems a waste of time and the lad doesnt wanna leave spain, and the whole thing being so public, which is unlike us thesedays, ends with us looking complete chumps

Who were the 4 signings then who came after Lavia and Caicedo politely turned us down ?

Virgil, our captain saying it. Endo saying it. Arne indirectly saying it. Trent and Salah probably holding off penning new deals until there's some clarity with how this club intends to move forward?

Then you hear we want to sign a keeper to be our number 1 next season? I'm sorry, what? Where the F**k is the best keeper in the world going? The dude is 31 and well in his prime, where is he going?? We've got half the F***ing team that needs replacing first!!!!!!!!!

I'm as disappointed in not getting this lad through the door as everyone else. He would have been perfect for our club. I know it's early doors but I trust Slot and Hughes will have things sorted come the end of the transfer window. Let's keep the faith..
