Like most, I believe extending Salah is a team priority which has me wondering about Ben Doak's future at LFC.
I think the kid is uber-talented.
According to Spotrac, his contract ends after this '24-'25 season. Is this correct?

I'm also reading Doak may be loaned out this season.
If indeed his contract expires in 10 months, how does loaning him out benefit the club (unless another LFC contract is imminent).

And if/when Salah extends, Doak will continue to be a spot-starter at best.
At some point, he and his agent will have to determine what's best for him; reserve on a big club or 1st team starts on lesser club.
How does this play out?

Personally I don’t think Doak is ready for the first team. He’s certainly talented and does have his moments, but I think he too often holds on to the ball far too long and loses possession.
It’s probably him trying too hard to impress when he does get a chance.
He needs to realise, he’s in the side because he has impressed. He just needs to play his game, run when you need to and pass when you need to 🤷‍♂️
He’ll learn and he’s not one we need to move on.

At this stage we don't know if it's good, bad or indifferent. Slot I'm sure is still assessing what he has and his best line up etc. Yes we had Zubimendi lined up and it looked like a great signing.

Might be as well to wait till the mid season window rather than look at second best or third choice targets. And if the current squad doesn't step up, one signing won't make that much difference.
