He will have the support of the fans unlike the the management who are letting us down badly, so much for Edward’s and Hughes

      He’s already been hand cuffed

This will be a be very tough game and I can see us being bullied in midfield especially as it’s really not good enough imo but we got jota firing hopefully to win us the game

If Robbo is not ready then Joe at left back for me, hes far superior to Tsimikas.

Gomez has hardly played pre season as well

Kostas has had a very good pre season and played well - he deserves his chance

We're not doing that inverted sh*t anymore and Joe as an out and out LB, flat out sucks. So for that reason plus his good performances in pre-season, he's re-established himself back as the #2 for Robbo. Kostas gets a lot of unnecessary stick for a squad player, was playing very well before Saka clattered him and injured his shoulder.

I'd have Dom ahead of Elliott judging on the friendlies teams the other day. I think the Sevilla first XI is close to what will start against Ipswich

Just a note on David Johnson and John Wark ahead of this game. 2 great players for the club signed from Ipswich

Warky was a baller just couldnt get back into the side after 2 bad imjuries in the season of the double.

David Johnson, 4 leagues and 3 European cups after his move in the mid 70s. RIP

Surprised so many of you have Gravenburch starting. I’d much prefer Jones to get the start.

      Jones sucks.

He doesn’t suck but he’s a boring player. 24 and he isn’t any better now to when he was 19.

Can't argue with Elliotts performances in pre season though and more of a creative threat than anyone behind the front 3 for.me makes things happen

Admittedly I like watching Elliott, I would go along with the post above. Whether he starts against Ipswich, is a different matter.

      Against Ipswich?

      Ok pal, whatever you say.

Do you think that's the strongest MF we can play. A newly promoted team who will be fired up to play us and flying into tackles from the start. For me that MF would be easily over run as it's too lightweight.

So you think a championship caliber team is going to give us a run because of one player in midfield?

Think you may not be ready to watch a whole season mate.

We should know better than to underestimate newly promoted sides, there's no telling how they'll be.....for all we know we could be in for a surprise and they turn out like Luton, banking on their home form, being hard to beat and making life as uncomfortable as possible.

Agree with Toshack that a midfield with Elliott and Jones is too lightweight.

After the disappointing summer we've had with lack of movement, dropped points here would be the last thing we need.

No, not at all. They will be fine.
