Actually, they are going to loan him to Hughes' old club Bournemouth (because we can't buy him and then loan him to a PL club in the same window) and then we are getting him next year (technically). Hughes has actually got his old club a new keeper while working for us.

His ball playing ability is left to be desired. He is not comfortable with the ball at all for a possession team. I hope he improves though

Think there has always been suggestions that he wanted to finish his career back in Brazil and think 2 more seasons will be about right

He's a big lad and looks a good goalie from what I saw at the Euros. The fact that we appear willing to cut a deal for him now to join in a year or two's time shows we think it's too good an opportunity to turn down. It also follows a bit of a trend in clubs buying and loaning out. I don't mind that, even if our current priorities do lie elsewhere. I also hope there's a logic there that we intend to follow in other areas that need strengthening.
