He's a big lad and looks a good goalie from what I saw at the Euros. The fact that we appear willing to cut a deal for him now to join in a year or two's time shows we think it's too good an opportunity to turn down. It also follows a bit of a trend in clubs buying and loaning out. I don't mind that, even if our current priorities do lie elsewhere. I also hope there's a logic there that we intend to follow in other areas that need strengthening.

Clever signing and a better piece of forward planning not seen last couple of years with the contract situation. Not seen an awful lot but for a good keeper that's peanuts really . Hope he has the big man in front of him . Be interesting to see how this pans out and when he comes bearing in mind Ali and even Kelleher who surely will be gone by then will he do one more.?

If he sees the field for us in a few years and is a like for like replacement for Ali it will be hailed as a genius move.

Of course we have a few years before we judge whether it was a good signing or not so it doesn't really matter right now.

This guy is more the GK along the likes of Oblak - big tall domineering GK , outstanding shot stopper and when coming to crosses
