      Careful...that almost sounds like corruption....
It's corruption in the sense that there's likely a bias amongst the officials (VAR in this case) to give RM preferential treatment, as they are considered central to the Champions League "Brand"....UEFA consider Real Madrid as a sort of footballing Royal family, and as such I suspect they're not held to the exact same degrees of impartiality.  I'm not convinced officials go out of their way (plan) to engineer positive results for RM....But anywhere there is a grey area...they tend to favour them over the opposition.

Watched it 100s of times. One thing is certain! It’s not clear and obvious 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️ I don’t see the ball move, he may of touched it but I honestly couldn’t say for sure he did? If that’s how VAR work why didn’t they say it wasn’t clear cut? 🤷‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤷‍♂️

There was the slightest of movement on the ball, but that could just be down to him stamping his foot down on the ground...

Ronaldo literally perfected this technique, stamping his standing foot near the ball to make it bounce up for his striking foot.... obviously Alvarez didn't mean to use the technique but could have done it via mistake... to me there is no clear evidence his foot touched it.

Re: That penalty, if a keeper is off his line when the pen is taken, and he saves it, the pen is taken again, yes? Well why isn't the goal just given, so surely the Pen should just be taken again. F**k RM, F**k Uefa.

I don't know why anyone cares. No clear evidence, it was an accident and if he had to take it again he is very likely to score. Why the fuss?

That's the rule of the sport, nothing to do with UEFA. The rule was correctly applied. Seen it happen in various leagues in different countries before

Be just interesting to see if that is pulled up in any other pen shootouts or just a reason to get those spawny tw*ts through.
