Manchester United 0-3 Liverpool: In game and Post Match discussion
      Sep 01, 2024 02:45:16 pm

Old Trafford hosting Slot's team for the first time

Liverpool FC Starting XI: Alisson, Van Dijk, Konate, Diaz, Szoboszlai, Mac Allister, Salah, Jota, Robertson, Gravenberch, Alexander-Arnold.

Liverpool Subs: Kelleher, Gomez, Endo, Nunez, Gakpo, Elliott, Tsimikas, Quansah, Bradley.

Liverpool name an unchanged line-up for today's clash with Manchester United at Old Trafford.

Arne Slot elects to go with the same starting line-up and substitutes’ bench that saw off Brentford 2-0 at Anfield last weekend.

We'll be wearing our 2024/25 third kit for the first time today.

Just win please, so I will be on the right side of two weeks banter.

We will be 6 points in front of them too.

      Come on Whites.

Big test for Gravenberch. How well we defend will I think decide the outcome. Hope it's full on battle to the last minute.

I reckon Slot will fight fire with fire here. Sit Alexis beside Gravenberch and counter attack. The nerves..

Hoping it goes better than the two shitshows towards the end of last season.

Second half performances haven't been a problem, but our first half's haven't been great yet.

If we limit Rashford I dont see where they score, where if they limit Mo you can see Diogo or Diaz stepping up

Just dont create our own downfalls and well be fine

As expected the same team named as Brentford. I would have picked endo myself. Specialist 6.

On the flip its nice to see a settled side so hopefully no injuries today.

Looking for the front 3 to do the business. We were not ruthless last season. We will get chances and we need to be killers today. Last season our poor finishing/final ball tied in with santa claus at the back was all that kept them in the matches

True. But at least we have stopped shipping goals and stopped conceeding in the first 2 minutes  :couch:

      Hope ive not jinxed us.

Quietly confident. Utd have made some signings, but I think there's much to be said for a stable LFC side with a few tweaks in strategy. I doubt we'll be so open, and expect us to be patient and look to control the tempo and get the lion's share of possession.

didn't we go behind in the first half a lot last season more than happy with a clean sheet first half

Proper confident, really can’t see the MUtants being as lucky as last time, however I do think the Scummy F**k pigs have improved but only slightly, surprised Slabhead is dropped thought they’d need his experience, but hey ho who gives a F**k it’s not gonna matter anyway,

We weren’t at our best last encounter hence the Scummy Cnuts getting the better of us and being lucky…again, totally different this time, we’re at full strength have a new tweaked system, are more solid at the back, a dynamic midfield and a top three as good as any in global football, can’t see us losing this !!

Congrats to Virgil 200 up today, here’s for the next 200 big man 😁
