Is getting three points away to a mid table team (at best) really worth the carrying on we’re seeing?
Too F***ing right it is because it’s against those scummy cu*ts who are still treated as the greatest thing in the world. They’re F**k all nowadays. And results and performances like yesterday only prove that further.
Admittedly they started the better and we’re getting plenty of joy down our right but not much else. We then started to take control of the game and never really relented.
If they had a decent centre forward then they’d have buried the header and probably the effort at the far post that their Dutch lad missed.
But even if they did, we had other gears to go to. We were F***ing boss from back to front. And it’s an old adage that if you win the midfield battle, you win the game. Well our midfield ran roughshod over them yesterday. Bullied them. Outplayed them. And out F***ing classed them in every department.
Alisson - like the other two games so far, only really had one or two saves to make and made them with little fuss. From what I’ve seen so far, the biggest change in how we play is Ali. Under Klopp I always felt there was a mistake coming when he had the ball at his feet or he’d be rushed but not this season. I guess the defence playing more compact and not having the split centre halves is playing a role in that as well.
Alexander-Arnold - was poor to begin with, as I said he was pinpointed by them as the one to get at. But got better as the game went on. Probably looks a bit of a dickhead now with the camera kiss but he won’t mind because he was loving the result at the end.
Konate - everyone know that I think this lad has the potential to be the best centre half in the world and yesterday he showed why. Just a monster.
Van Dijk - one of those games where he did little wrong but won’t grab any headlines because everything he did right was with such ease and minimal fuss. Loved him telling Martinez to try kicking him as well after that cu*ts nasty challenge on Gravenberch. Proper captaincy there - something I was critical of him for at times last season.
Robertson - didn’t really do much in the game other than give them an, almost, great assist with his arse then fell to their new right back.
Gravenberch - I’ve been championing this lad since he arrived, always felt there was something about him. Made up that others are starting to see it. Bossed the game for us yesterday. People talking about Casemiro’s bad pass for the first goal but it’s only bad because Grav anticipates and makes them pay for it.
Mac Allister - wasn’t really in the game first half but came into his own second. Love the fact that it was the latest media darling Kobie Mainoo who he just shrugged off the ball for Mo’s goal.
Salah - still world class. Is playing some of his best football here. Whether that’s because he wants to leave us on a high or because he’s playing for a new deal only time will tell. But Mo Salah, you are F***ing boss mate. And if you do leave, you’ve earned your place in Liverpool history.
Szoboszlai - frustrating at times, world class at others. Needs a good bollocking for that pissing about with the chance. Needs a great pat on the back for some of his second half stuff though.
Diaz - another who I’ve championed for a long time and still think he’s the best we’ve got down the left. Two lovely finishes. Plenty of hard work as well. Just love our Lucho.
Jota - really quiet game from our number 20 but I loved the analysis on the first goal where they showed him indicating to give it to Diaz while he took the defenders away.
Subs none of them really did much but we still won.
F***ing made up. Three wins from three, none conceded, sitting pretty.
