Mo Salah - is he a top 3 all time Liverpool player

Mo said he wants to be remembered here as a top 2 ( with Stevie ) player of all time

1 player jumps out instantly as being left out of that debate!!

But whenever Mo is done here, where will he rank in the all time greats? Is he top 2? Is he top 3?

I know most of us wont have seen some players luke Billy Liddell etc but from who youve seen where does he rank?

Top 5 for me.

What about the greats of the past Billy Liddle Roger Hunt , Keegan, Kenny,Rushie etc. Its a generation thing Mo Is definitely up there I hope he is here long enough to pick up more records.

Is it really so much about how much you win though or are we purely talking in the sense of evaluating the player they are/were and matching it up against the skills/athleticism/technique etc of others?

Because pretty much all the guys from the 70s/80s won more than what Mo & Stevie have.....Hansen, Souness, Whelan, Kennedy, Beardsley, Neal etc and the guys from the mid-late 80s never had the chance to win any European cups because of the ban on English teams.

If we're talking purely from a players perspective and everything involved in the game, I don't see how a Salah can be better than a Molby or Barnes.

For example for mastery of a ball hes behind a good few, Molby, Alonso, Kenny, Terry mac, Suarez, beardsley

Based on goals, hes arguably only behind Rush and Hunt for goals per game, but hes a winger!!

Top 3 ... possibly. Top 5 ... imo definetely. Absolute class act on and off the pitch. Absolute consistency personified. Team player and a winner.

And these people putting suarez in a top 5.  Youre entitled to your opinion of course. I wouldnt have a thug who embarrassed Dalglish and lied to him, spat on people, racially abused people, stamped on people, bit people to try and force his way out, went on strike and refused to play, tried to force a move through to arsenal and was generally a c*nt of a human being ... he's in the top 3 for c*nts at this club in company with the likes of diouf but a top 5 player to ever play for this club? Behave. Rush Torres Fowler and even Owen all miles ahead of that snake as was Sir Roger and my grandads favourite Billy Lids. The snake won us fcuk all and was only out for himself. Don't think so, however he will be regarded as one of the best, if not the best, of the Klopp/Slot era, and that's enough of a compliment I should think.

I guess hes in the LFC Premier league era top 3 for me.
