Difficult to compare the two, different era’s different styles, where Digger was a out & out winger playing in a 442, he was the best in that position and subsequently then moved infield where he could dictate and run the show,
Mo also a winger who has more versatility due to the style of football today, he obviously has pace, close control and the ability to score from almost any angle, he tracks back too and helps win the ball back, something Digger didn’t need to do again because of the different styles, in a 442 you have a specific role to play whether you’re defending, attacking or battling in midfield,
If Digger was in his pomp today he’d in his element, albeit with a slower pace, his physique is bulkier than a ripped Mo Salah which brings another element to the debate, if Mo tucked into Fish n Chips like in Diggers day he’d be a lot slower too, then you can add carpet like pitches, slipper like football boots, non contact action, etc you really can’t compare, it’s a totally different game these days, but since we all live within statistical analysis Mo has more to him than Digger so I guess Mo stays ahead of him !!
