Got a lot more freedom to change it up with this new format so will interesting to see what Slot does. I reckon 2/3 changes. For me that would be Quansah, Endo and Nunez.

As we have 7 other games to get enough points to finish 9th or whatever it is, we can hopefully play with a bit less pressure following the disappointment of Saturday.

Wouldn't be surprised to see the same 11 start. Show belief in the players. Might make changes but might not.

At least it’d be showing a willingness to do something different and trust the squad, we can’t play 55-60 games using 13-14 players unfortunately.

Plus I’ve been watching Milan for years, they’re a poor side so if we can’t at least get a draw there, then we need to rethink our already low expectations for the season wouldn’t we?

Well this is the big concern I have with the midfield. He clearly doesn’t want to use Endo. Elliott is injured. So either the 3 we’re playing get run into the ground, or jones comes in. We had all summer to get someone, but hey, we decided the transfer window was an inconvenience.

Also, I’ve literally only just seen this is on Amazon prime. Has this been advertised much?? Barely seen a mention anywhere. Had no idea they had Tuesday games

Wouldn’t be the first time Morton has played at the San Siro….and come away with a win. Started and played the full 90, Milan were a better side back then too.

Probably is too “big a game” for a kid like Nyoni in the eyes of Arne, he doesn’t seem to be down with giving kids much of a look in, but I’m all for the idea if you’re good enough, you’re old enough and Nyoni has bossed it for a year now with the u21s, England youth team and pre-season.

Jones time at the club is hopefully coming to a halt, have no desire to see him play again unless we’re really in the mud.

I understand your reaction to the team because you can see that it shouldn’t be playing etc but that’s the issue

We have a lack of quality depth in some areas. Playing the same players over and over doesn’t work, there needs to be rotation imo

It’s a shame we are at this stage already but hopefully endo and jones start to give some of the players a break

After Saturday, I have no idea what to expect. Hopefully not the same lethargic, boring and toothless display.

Of course they score 4 at home before we arrive.

Tough game. At the moment it's a bit of a struggle against low block sides so a side coming at us might help.

Think the days of defensively solid Italian sides is over and they play a more expansive style than most teams in Europe these days.

Unhappy memories against the last Italian side we played.

I would drop Dominik, Jota, Salah and Robertson. I would rest Konate as well.

It won't happen but I would play like that.

I would play Chiesa since he knows them and knows the language.

Do not know what to expect tomorrow against AC Milan, although a draw would be acceptable, after Saturday's shock home defeat.

I dreamt last night that Joe Gomez scored but I can't see Slot playing him (I wish he'd at least bring him on instead of the ineffective Kostas).

Can't see Slot starting Endo, Quansah or Gakpo either but I think it's about time Nunez got a good 70' to prove himself.  The pressure's on but I think we'll lay Saturday's performance to rest and have a good game, bringing the 3pts back to Anfield.

Nunez has to play for me. Jota already looks like he needs a break. I'd try Gakpo and Nunez from the off. Grav, Mac and Dom for midfield. Kostas in for Robinson, Trent starts at RB for me, Konate and Virgil in the center. Mo starts, but Chiesa comes in if he's fit later in the game.

Certainly is a case for starting Nunez. Milan love control. Very regimented, very organised. Throw Nunez at them. Comes with a risk we know that. But he could just spook them.

If Arne only trusts 13-14 players all season long to start games, then we're in for an even longer season than I'd anticipated. He needs to find ways to make use for the others, plus a youngster or 2.
