Federico Chiesa is handed a full debut as Liverpool make nine changes for this evening's Carabao Cup third-round tie with West Ham United.

The Italy forward comes into the Reds XI at Anfield, with only Caoimhin Kelleher and Darwin Nunez retaining their places from the side deployed against AFC Bournemouth on Saturday.

Joe Gomez captains the team against the Hammers.

So a much changed line up it is.

Gutted for Trey 

Very attacking line up. No sign of Nyoni, thought he'd make the bench. Looking forward to an all out attack but have to be alert in defense as well. Called 3-2 but could be 5-2 with this line up.

I would like to see Morton for either Jota or Nunez at around 60th minute.

Nyoni should be on the bench if fit.

More changes than I was expecting. Interesting. Especially interested to see the Endo/Jones double pivot in midfield. We may need that at some stage in the league.

Guessing Gakpo will take Szobo's role.

West Ham will fancy having a go at our second string defence you would think. Could be our first basketball game under Arne.

Attacking line up, second string midfield and defence. Lopetegui will feel he needs a result so have a feeling this could be one of those chaotic high scoring games. Doesn't have the look of a nil nil anyway.

Chance to see what Chiesa can do...Federico...Rico...T he Fed...whatever. Must've seen something in him that could add to the squad. Wish him Luck.

Lots of changes as I expected but that still looks a strong team.

Considering we didn't reinforce the midfield and defence in the summer I think we've got no choice but to rotate the centre backs and midfielders for the domestic cups.

Still enough out there for us to win but pressure is on for West Ham so I can see them being proper up for this one.

It will be interesting to see how this line up plays out!
