      Pre-match: Liverpool v Bologna, CL, KO 20h00

Haven't seen a pre-match yet so I thought I'd start the ball rolling...

Our 2nd game (and Arne's first at Anfield) in the new fangled CL sees us confront Bologna, who qualified for Big Ears for the first time since they won it in 64/65, via a 5th place finish in Serie A, largely thanks to the goals of Joshua Zarzee, currently firing blanks at Manure.

I saw their first game against Shakthar and they look a well organised outfit, but woeful on the night in the final third - so many chances squandered.

This season they've relied on Riccardo Orsolini and Santiago Castro for their goals.  I can't see them posing us too much threat but predict a hard fought 3-0 to maintain our push for a Top 9 finish: their Serie A record thus far is W1, D4, L1.  I don't think they'll be the pushover some might be expecting.

                   Alisson
      Trent  Ibou  VVD  Robbo
       Macca  Ryan  Dominic
            Salah  Jota  Diaz

Cieslah is injured; Nunez who knows?

      Over to you...

Hoping to see 4 or 5 changes here, something in between Milan and West Ham. Bologna are worst than both after losing Motta and 3-4 other big players from last season.

      Alisson
      Bradley Konate Virgil Kostas
      Endo Grav
      Mac
      Salah Nunez Gakpo

Gone for a 3  0 win for the Reds, in front of a home crowd at Anfield. Not too sure of the strength of the opposition tbh.

Let's win the game by a few goals.

Dom if he starts has to up the tempo of his game.Waiting for the game to come to him won't do, has to make it happen.

Gakpo deserves a start if Jota doesn't make it.

      Ali,...Trent, Gomez,VVD,Robbo....Mac, Graver,Dom...Mo,Nunez,Gakpo.

It's a shame Harvey got injured and I'm not sure Curtis Jones is an adequate replacement.  Can't foget that, at 24, Dom's still relatively young but, like you say (and as Arne has suggested) he needs to make his mark on the team consistently.

Agree about Gakpo - he deserves his chance.  Not sure if Nunez was ill or, as reported in some parts, lost a close friend at the weekend.

Can't say I'm relishing an early KO on Saturday against an aggressive Palace at Selhurt: maybe Arne's choice as to who starts that game (IMHO Nunez, if available) will determine who starts tonight?
