I generally refrain from speaking about the ref (unless it's a massive game changing F**k up) but that ref was hilarious. Booking both players at the corner for "feeling each other up" took the biscuit. Oh, and the yellow for Kostas clearly winning the ball and not even touching the player on any follow through. Yellow for Virg was soft although I can see why he gave it and the yellow for Robbo was correct.
I might be wrong but it feels to me that ref's from the Continent give yellow cards for far lesser misdemeanours than our domestic shower. You say this ref last night was hilarious...presumably you mean crap...yet you highlight four incidents, two you think he got wrong and two you think he got right.....odd bit of reasoning.

They are very card happy across the shores yes. It's just little things you pick up like their demeanour to how they do certain things, such as reaching for their pocket and the speed they do it in or their facial expressions and gestures when a player dissents. It is very different to what we're accustomed to.

I'm not going to highlight everything he blew up for or I'd be here all day but specifically reviewing the 4 yellows we got, 2 were laughable.....1 was soft and 1 was correct and you and I both know it doesn't take much to rile Liverpool fans up when it comes to referees.

Bit of shadow boxing on a corner and he starts waving yellow cards about. Konate was speechless..."I was just saying hello....wtf ref.."

From the defender trying to get the ref's attention anytime Ibou put a finger on him to the ref nonchalantly branding them both a yellow to Ibou's reaction.

      It's just funny  :lmao:

The ref was shocking. The premium European football competition and to have substandard refs like him is mind boggling.

That ref was on the take the c**t, for sure.

Anways, getting back to the footy...shaky at times but somehow we still kept a clean sheet and got the W.

Can see us only improving from here, the only thing F***ing us will be International breaks and those damn 9.30 F***ing KO's.

And the reluctance to use a recognised No 6 when we actually have one in the bench 🤷‍♂️

Arne's presser was very interesting, especially in response surrounding 12:30 kick offs.

'Not arsed' was basically his response. I like it. No need for the scummy gutter press to ask again now is there. Carry on.

      Quote from jabv
We haven't faced top top opposition so far. I'm worried our luck will run out very quick when we do. We are not being clinical and looking very exposed at the back. Certainly a lot of work on the table for Slot still.

Let's not, however, lose the perspective that we have won 8 of our 9 games with Slot on his first season here. That's quite something, sh*t performances or not.

You have lost perspective. We're top of the league, taken full points from the European games, and conceded just 4 goals in 10 games, including trips to Milan and Manchester.

What more do you want? 9 wins out of 10 is not down to luck. I know there's rival pundits and fans getting very excited at the prospect of our upcoming games, but with respect, most of them are at home. Therefore we'll win most, possibly all of them, as usual.
