Someone recently asked where to listen to matches and I lit the blue touch paper, stood well back, and revealed I listen to Craig on Anfield Agenda; only to get the pelters I expected.
I appreciate he's not everyone's cup of tea: nor mine to be honest. I think I started watching during Covid, when there was no atmosphere in the grounds (except the fake stuff on Sky) and it became a habit. For political reasons I've never subscribed to CANAL+ because the owner is extreme right, and I've always relied on dodgy streams to watch the games. I've just relented, because for the sake of £1 a day, it's probably worth it.
So, anyway, as an old dinasour and technophobe, how do you rate these 'content creators'? You Tube wasn't around when I grew up in the 70s - you went to the match (pretty much any match), paid your quid at the turnstiles and walked in. On the way home you listened to the results on the BBC or bought the 'Pink Un' - remember them? Then you watched MOTD if you were home in time, or the Big Match on Sunday - after Thunderbirds, of course! We got the League and FA Cup Finals live on TV, and that was about it.
So, my question is: what do you like or dislike about all these You Tube content creators? Do they simply re-hash stuff journalists put out anyway? What is it that people hate about Craig Houlden's Anfield Agenda? I've no horse in the race btw, I'm not connected to him or any other channel.
Obviously, there are people like him, Goldbridge and AFTV making a mint, but it's a career that never existed when I was a kid...
