3points and up the road, sometimes we take one touch too much. The game should have been dead and buried by HT. Another injury for Ali, it's becoming concerning how often he gets injured now.

How many players booked and never a dirty game

Took Hoops best part of an hour to give us a free kick. Setting up the second half to give a red card. Although Palace won 3-2 on yellow cards. We won the foul count 15-7.

Shows how quickly we closed them down. We have been a bit lax on that front of late but we worked a lot harder off the ball which was needed.

Groin, could have carried on but thought it was best not to. Slot unsure the extent of that or ali's hamstring

Game went how I'd expected, few chances....even fewer goals.....not the prettiest of games to watch and will have forgotten all about in come Monday morning.

3 points is all that matters and we'll take it in any which way, huge shame about Ali but at the same time delighted Jaros could get some minutes and show how comfortable he is.

Hooper is absolute shower of sh*te and what's worst is we've now got an international break ahead of us....

      My ratings for the game;

      Ali - 8 / Jaros - 7

      Trent - 6
      Ibou - 7.5
      Virgil - 8
      Kostas - 7 / Robbo 6

      Grav - 8
      Mac - 6.5 / Szobo 6
Jones - 7 / Endo N/A barely any time to rate but thought he looked good in those 7-8mins

      Salah - 6 / Diaz 6
Jota - 7 (+1 for the goal, wasted 2 glorious chances, should've had a hattrick)
      Gakpo - 7.5

Mac hopefully wont be going on international duty.

2 weeks until the chelsea game and hopefully we can get him right for that one.

Also hoping Ali isnt as bad as feared and we can get him back for Arsenal at the end of the month.

Watching Sala today is worrying, yes he scores great goals but his all round play is very poor, never looked in the game today, his passing is very short so often

Almost as if age is catching up to him. Glad Arne eventually showed the courage to take him off.

I was at the game and it is striking how little he does off the ball - really noticed the difference between his and Diaz in their off the ball work rate

Virgil was imperious - he does so much work organising the team and was untouchable in the air. I was sitting with Palace fans and they were saying how easy he made it all look, he really is a world class player

Were you in with the away end? I would say hope you enjoyed it but......yeah......even the atmosphere felt mostly flat until Palace started getting their tails up in the last 15-20mins.

There really is no comparison between Salah and Diaz when it comes to their off the ball/defensive work, just like there isn't a comparison between the 2 when it comes to goals/assists.....however when you're getting the nod to start, you're not scoring and you're not creating....you simply have to find other means to have a positive influence, Mo didn't today and I think that's the reason Arne decided to take him off.

Man that was ugly at times. Glad for the points. Thought our midfield was fairly poor today. But we got the win and that’s all that matters.

I'll take the international break. Will be good for those players who are struggling with injury and hope we can refresh ourselves

Yeah but we’re talking about Salah. We all know he can sometimes have a quiet game. But more often than not - he still pulls something special out the bag. He’s done it countless times.

Ref ruined our momentum constantly giving them soft fouls. He got them back into it

I don't doubt that but past achievements can't be brought into the equation when we're a team looking to move forward under a new system and there's been one too many games this season where he hasn't been up to standard.

Agreed. Hopefully Fede will be back after the break to give Mo the rest he looks like he needs.

7 games 4 goals and 4 assists. If people could finish you could add to the assists total as well.

What do people want from Salah ffs. He is still our best attacker. He will get 20 goals plus again and plenty of assists.
