No Liverpool game this weekend due to another international break and a game against Real Madrid following after this game.

Alison, Elliott and Chiesa expected to be back in the squad for this. Jota still a few weeks off returning.

I expect Ali to come straight back in, he is undisputed number 1 although Kelleher has been brilliant and deserves a mention. If Trent is ok then he should get 60 and we can bring Bradley on. The South American lads will be shattered although Nunez should be able to do 60-65. Be nice to see Elliott and Chiesa off the bench.

I don't think Trent will be back for this game. He's pulled out of International duty so they are going to take it easy with him. Not sure that Ali should walk straight back in but I suppose he will and luckily he's good enough that there's not much of a fuss to make if he does. Nice problem to have. Hopefully we are up for this one, seems the last few game after breaks we've been slow starters.

I dont want Dom in ... though i understand why you have put him in with Mac having been away. I dont think Dom merits a place currently.

Robbo over kostas everyday of the week and twice on sunday. Got the winner in a captains performance for Scotland ... he will be flying.

Id love to see Endo at the base ... either worh Grav or by himself with Grav and Jones giving the attacking threat. But Arne doesnt seem to rate Endo which bugs me to be honest. But I think its due to him not having the all the tools Arne feels he wants in that position.

Upfront ... no nunez in my side. Id be going with Diaz left, Salah right and Cody through the middle. With Jota out thats our best 3 and theyve all done well this season so far. However again, with much bigger games in the days ahead there is an arguement to get Darwin in for this one.

At least with Harvey now back Arne has a few more choices to make.

Slot learned a valuable lesson after the first international break by being more careful of the guys that flew to South America

Diaz and Mac played the full 90 so expect them both on the bench with maybe Harvey getting a spot there as well

Think it's March now before we are punished with an international break. Always a difficult fixture after the international games but the extra day will help can't wait

Pretty grim weather so I'd start chaos and thunder up top. Fitness/freshness especially important after an international break so would expect that to favour the lads who've had shorter travel/more rest time. Mac has been a bit iffy but so has Szob - though he did score v Germany. Jones and Grav have to start.

I know where you are coming from ... 3 points tomorrow higher than the stakes involved against madrid given our position in the CL table but Madrid is a bigger game than this for me. A win for us there really puts them in a sticky situation with 3 defeats in 5 games. Plus we owe these a beating.

Feeling confident going for a 3  0 win for the Reds, at Southampton tomorrow.

Any win will do given what’s happening with City and the fact Arsenal clawed back 3 points in a fixture we got nothing from.

Then rest in midweek to go hard at City.

Just do our job in the next two games and life will look oh so good
