This City team isn't one to be terrified in. We are the much scarier team. Were also much more organized at the back and in the center of the park. Their D is dreadful this season. Rodri being gone has taken away the control they have in the center and Dias being out really weakens the structure at the back. KDB isn't the same amd I'd actually like it if he starts, rather than come off the bench. He's got nothing left in his legs.

Haaland and Foden are always dangerous, but Bernado is ask to do SOO much this season and it looks like it's catching up to him. They will have chances and Konate being gone is a big miss, maie no mistake about it. But they are very unathletic these days and if we take our chances we win this. If we don't win it will be because of us, not them. That hasn't ever been the case with us playing a Pep side until this week

I prefer Gomez over Quansah but who knows. Both will play matches.

We need to win this one so badly.

      I’d take a scrappy 1-0 win…😎

      I'd take a 0-0 right now.

Think we can beat them but they're bound to get their act together at some point and won't be as easy game as maybe we think given their current struggles

I can understand the cautious approach some you fella’s are taking, and I too would be happy with a scrappy 1 Niller or even a unlikely goalless draw, however we are f***in flying right now and despite that old adage that the real City could turn up yada yada yada, I seriously doubt that it will,

It’s beeen well documented that their Balon D’or holder Rodri is being missed rather more than perhaps they had anticipated, but there’s more to it than losing such a key player, something else is festering within imo, you don’t become a bad side overnight, but how many overnights is it now, let’s remind ourselves of the financial clout they have at their disposal, yet are you telling me they only have a core number of players to choose from, most clubs have 22+, and not all of them have the same level of quality,

A couple of seasons back I seem to remember pundits referring to the amount of quality in City’s ranks, well, where the F**k are they all ?, I know the sold on the lad Alvarez and then brought back Gundogan even though his legs are gone, Why ? Where are those quality players, they can’t all be injured ?

Mentally & Physically I think they are shot, they don’t have the legs in midfield anymore, Kevin of Brown struggles to play two on the bounce, Gundogan has no legs, and that Cnut Silva is being run into the ground being overplayed, Greasy arse is as useful as wet fart, they had a 3 goal lead Vs Feyenoord and capitulated as soon as Feyenoord got one back, against with respect a side on a completely different plain, Pep as good a manager he is is showing signs he himself is proper under the pump, and ironically has no longer the resources he has relied on previously,

So we’ll see just how good a manager he truly is now won’t we, when he has to muster his bedraggled troops against his only true competitor, the only rival that has taken them to the wire, and the only rival who has gotten the better of him, So will he,  Has he got it within him, can he inspire his team to turn up on Sunday, gotta be honest, I don’t think he can!!

This was always the issue with the squad. Needs reinforcing back there in Jan.

Now evident due to the two injuries, but how many top class players, for any position, are you gonna buy, who would be happy to sit on the bench waiting for injuries to occur.

A draw would not be a bad result, the pressure is on Cheaty to try and close the gap, leaving them exposed at the back.

The Reds should take advantage,. recording another home win.

I know we're under new management but I'm not going to forget overnight how good Quansah was last season in his breakthrough season, Ibou had his problems dealing with a few niggling injuries but he also had problems with performances.....Quansah ended up keeping him out on merit and for me we need to persist with him as he is the future. Also showed how good he can play against City in the 1-1 home game last season.

Gomez is levels above Quansah. He plays sunday. Quansah is very talented and has a bright future but Gomez abd VVD excelled in the past and they can do again

I agree Gomez will get the nod but I don't agree he's levels above. You have to go back 4-5 years to when Gomez was on top of his game. He has pace, experience and versatilty but I give everything else to Quansah.

Only bad result is a loss. If we win it's a massive kick in the balls for them. If we lose it gives them hope and allows some.doubt to creep in, along with a busy period without several keys players

Fairly sure Joe will come in for Ibou. Trent at RB. Net quality shouldn't be too different and hopefully the changes don't disrupt our rhythm. City will have had the extra day's rest but we've got home advantage and the mental edge. If someone could just take that big gangly cheaty wages c*nt of theirs out of the equation I'd feel really confident but as it is I think it will be a close game, 1-0 to the redmen.

I am expecting a tough game an early goal could really put them under pressure.   I would take a draw but if we could get the win the horizon for them doesn't look good.  Win and I think we could potentially knock them out of the title race not on Sunday but in the coming weeks they could really fall too behind.  For us we just need to take it game by game.  These injuries are increasing and there is only so much injuries a squad can absorb.  So it is 3 points at a time and try to extend our lead at the top of the table.

Personally would give Quansah another go this kid is good.  I would play TAA and then bring Gomez on for him in the last 20 mins with Bradley out,  I think Gomez's role as a full back will be needed.

Yes, everything else. From being physically imposing to winning aerial duels to range of passing to positional awareness and just his all round defending that doesn’t involve making recoveries as quicker defenders will usually exceed.

You saw all this last season so I’m not sure why you needed me to elaborate.

You guys are acting like City are on fire and we're the team that hasn't won in 6 games. We still have an amazing attack and they have a make shift D. Our midifled is better that their's by a mile. You guys are acting like we're brining in Skertel or Lovern into the squad.

I wontt be upset with a draw, but make no mistake about it, we're the much better team and Konate or no Konate, we should win if we do our jobs.

Funny. He got dragged off at ipswich because he couldnt win any duals and consistently lost the ball or gave it away. Positional play was awful and slot rightly took him off. He has alot to learn.

Gomez is levels above in every aspect and I think he needs to remind a few on here he is a centre back and a bloody good one and not some bitpart full back who comes on for the last 20 minutes.

Joe can be bullied in ways Ibou and Virg cannot. Our next 3 games we come up against some physical forwards.

Haaland gets no change usually out of our back line but he's bang in the game now.

Isak is a handful and a finisher who only needs half a chance to put one away.

Calvert Lewin gave us a torrid game last time we played them and dominated our centre halves in a deserved Everton win to kill off our title hopes.

Forget Saliba and Gabriel. Virg and Ibou are the best centre half partnership in the division and the band has just been broken up.

Could be a huge blow that but it was always very unrealistic to expect Ibou and Virg to play and be fit all season.

Plenty of games to go around but we need to learn to trust them in cup games to do it. Ibou and Virg for PL games and big CL nights but the cups should have gone to Quansah and a new signing to fight with Joe for. Joe should have been used for game time at the end of big matches and emergency cover for either full back.

That signing should have came in, in the summer. It is harder now. There are less games that mean less after Jan.

That should have been the summer plan but it's out of the window now. The form of Quansah this season will mean Joe leaps ahead of him.

Big game for Quansa to start after being out for so long. Joe clearly the better option, and he offers more experience.
Top CH Joe, and a quality FB as well.
And Trent will be fine as long as he doesn’t get too enthusiastic going forward, and doesn’t leave his post exposed.
Needs to be a defender first today, wingback second.

I have faith in Joe. Was excellent last season.Played across the back 4, even in midfield and has great experience. He is more than capable of stepping up. Slight issue is that if Slot thinks Trent is not fully match fit he could go Joe at RB and Quanny in with VVD. Kells once again will be a vital player. Hardly a fag paper between him and Alisson.

      Prob 11....Kells, Trent, Joe,VVD,Rob Roy, Graver,Mac,Jones,Mo,Nunez,Diaz.

Just looked at the top 10 speedsters in European football and Nunez comes out on top with a top speed of 39MPH...so if he timed his runs a bit better or if Trent plays it in to space a second earlier it could be lethal.

Certainly away from home we have to make better use of Nunez's pace.To put it into context..Mo was in 10th place.
