Salah says the contract situation is in his headā€¦ā€¦. F***ing SORT THIS OUT

All this yap from the media..Sky etc. I don't think money motivates Mo. It's respect and indeed playing ambition. and obviously length of contract. I wouldn't call out any person for putting themselves and their family first.

Don't know Mo the man but I've loved watching him here and respect any decision he makes.

That was an enjoyable atmosphere- electric first half , dominated the middle of the park the whole game

Felt easy for most of the match only time felt nervy was with a mistake from VVD

Grav is one hell of a player , he was dominant in the middle

Joe - why people have dismissed him Iā€™ll never know , he was outstanding

Brilliant all over the pitch - not one person was below par

That should have been 5 or 6

      Ratings:

Kelleher 7 - Besides picking the ball up off KDB's feet, nothing to do. He gets a 7 still because why the F**k not!

Trent 8 - Thought he was fantastic tonight, dominated Nunes and mostly kept Doku at arms length too. His passing/clearances were much better too. The ball to set Mo away for the first? Oh yes!

Gomez 9 - Simply incredible. I'd have gone with Quansah over him today.....what the F**k do I know.

Virgil 9.5 - 0.5 off at the end there, although knowing Virg he did it intentionally out of pity. Pocketed Haaland.

Robbo 8 - THAT pass of the game to Gakpo, ridiculous. Kept Bernardo in his pocket and Savio never got much out of him either.

Grav 9 - The guy is world class, no ifs ands or buts about it. World class.

Szobo 8.5 - What a shift he put in, sublime. Very combative. Few nice pops at goal which I've been dying to see for a while....created a few chances too (one where Virg headed off the post).

Mac 8 - Very effective, broke up play and stifled City's attacks a number of times.....very smart with the ball.

Salah 9 - Goal and an assist. We won't talk about the chance he skied over.

Diaz 8 - Won the pen. Quiet game otherwise but his work rate and stamina is arguably the best we have.

Gakpo 8 - Well taken goal, very smart play to sneak in at the far stick. Few other chances he had which he could've done better with or quicker to react with.

Nunez & Quansah 7 - both did well when they came on, a new position for Quansah....who saw that coming!! Nunez absolute mad man....how can you not love him.
Jones N/A - loved the few flicks and tricks he pulled out but not enough time to rate.
      Elliott N/A

Szobo put in a sublime, energetic display. The rotation with Jones keeps that midfield ticking over without burnout, vital for this stage of the season.

Taking the piss.Pep knows the score, has great respect for our fans and the club. Was nothing. I know our fans and although we slag City off over money and stuff, there's very few who don't respect what Pep has done in the game.

Only gripe with him is he gets in such fantastic position in the final third canā€™t seem to play that killer ball and goes backwards. It might be because of watching odegaard that I think szob should get more assists and goals

Thought Nunez was great when we came on, his energy won us the game for sure with the second set up

Hope he does Newcastle over again

Was it a watershed moment..Oh yes. Today I thought Jones was unlucky to be on the bench. He's starting to mature and having more influence. Hope he gets a start V Newcastle.

It was great performance and a statement win. It would of been nice if our finishing was better as VvD should of had one from the corner kicks and Salah whiffing on yhe 2v0 chance, along with Gakpo/Dom who had a a few chances in the first half.

Though the defending bar VvD give away to KdB was on point. We didn't give them much between the back four and Grav and Macca who both provided great cover and move the ball very well.

Quick turnaround with Newcastle on Wednesday but for that was a result to enjoy and build off

Iā€™m stunned at just how controlled that win was. I kept saying we need to perform for longer periods of the game, not just for 30-40 mins.
Well first v Real, then again today. This is as near to perfection that weā€™ve been, and thereā€™s more to come. Every last man done their bit, the injury covers and the subs.
Some of the close quarter one touch passing was incredible and had city players chasing shadows.
Itā€™s been a long time since Iā€™ve witnessed quality like that.
Every one of them deserves a motm but Iā€™ve gone for big Virg for keeping Haaland in his pocket.

Bring on the bar codes !

Have to say pep actually said something i agree with re 'youre getting sacked in the morning' ...

Such a small time chant that this club should be above. You expect crappy chants like that from others. I found it quite sad really. Not something that would have happened when i was a kid or dare I say it before the crowd became less 'local' ... lets put it that way.

The chant was just a complete pisstake. Not too dissimilar from Ole/Ten Hag at the wheel.

It's just that Pep has an incredibly thin skin and can't resist taking the bait. Klopp had that chant directed towards him when he was with us but he never rose to it.

It was a bit humour and banter that we were having with him and he took it in the spirit it was meant and it was all ā€œlocalā€
