Saturday is pretty much a must win now (and 4 points from these 2 away games would be a good return).

Anything less though and seeing a 9 point gap become potentially 4 or 5 in the space of just a few days would be a huge shift of momentum in the title race away from us.

Completely agree...7 from 9 over those 3 games most people would take BUT Saturday is huge now....3 pts is a must.

If United can beat them 4-0 you lot shouldn’t have any problems, derby or no derby.

Just know the atmosphere will be hostile and after how Newcastle's midfield got at us, hope we can manage the early storm.

Of course, only natural when you gift 2 goals (one right at the very end) that costs yourself 2 points. That feeling will always be sh*t.

Could've been worst mind, could've lost the game, could've lost Salah or Virg to injury or we could've been Utd.

Agreed - plus if it was 3-2 Newcastle and we scored last minute to equalise, it would also feel a lot different.

Defence back to old ways last night I am afraid, Newcastle looked dangerous with every attack. We played better in the second half, although well short of our best. tbh Newcastle could have scored even more goals.

Thankfully Mo scored twice and unlucky not to have had a hattrick..

Great game for neutral, but not LFC fans !

Personally I thought our problems stemmed from all the mid field plus Gakpo, wanted too much time on the ball and too many touches. They were getting at us because we didn’t move the ball quick enough. Having to hold into the ball sometimes comes from team mates not being mobile enough and making themselves available, but also from players trying to do to much.
Once the changes were made, and the movement improved, with one touch passing, there only looked like there would be one winner. We just failed to get at them quick enough when we didn’t have the ball.
I’m still gutted, and can’t believe we handed the opportunity to them at the death.

Main objective now is to beat the bitters convincingly on Sat, and come away with three points and no injuries 🤷‍♂

We didn't play anywhere near good enough over the 90 minutes to claim all 3 points. Having said that to somehow find ourselves 3-2 up going into the last minute the draw now feels like a loss....especially considering the nature of the equaliser. In truth it would have been a travesty for Newcastle to have come away with nothing. I thought we'd turned a corner with the last two displays and that we'd be "at it" for the whole game...but for whatever reason it was back to playing for half a match....We've got to perform over the 90 otherwise that 7 point gap will not be enough to secure the title.

Lazy defending by Trent for their 3rd didn't spot it until now just basically left him could of supported more albeit clear Kelleher error

      What a day that was.

At 2-1 i'd have taken a point but left Newcastle feeling slightly underwhelmed.

Kelleher has been great to this point so cant be too annoyed with him, i just hope he learns from it.

Pick ourselves up, dust ourselves down and go and tw*t those bitter cu*ts at 1230 Saturday. I cant wait for the last drby at that shithole.

The referee wasnt the reason we drew but F**k me that performance should be investigated.

Keeper should be getting that all day long unless Trent yelled for him to leave it. Trent very well could have been letting the man run because he figured Kelleher was going to make the easy catch.
