I guess Kellerher did not want to waste his stretches. He thought to catch the ball, and he could have caught the ball, but decided to let it go out.
Who was supposed to track Schar's run behind the post?

      So angry.

Saturday is pretty much a must win now (and 4 points from these 2 away games would be a good return).

Anything less though and seeing a 9 point gap become potentially 4 or 5 in the space of just a few days would be a huge shift of momentum in the title race away from us.

Offensively he was, defensively it's the same old. He can't do it, or worst doesn't want to do it.

Mo MOTM? That's a controversial shout if ever there was one no?
Should be man of half the match...he was as bad as any of the others first half...I lost count how many times he gave the ball away.

Little doubt that Slot and his staff are aware of Nunez limitations in the box, probably why they played winger Diaz in there. Point is we can't take on the World with Nunez front and center. Not writing off Nunez but his conversion rate just isn't good enough.

Look at the difference in the sides performance though with Trent on the field compared with Quansah out there.

Newcastle couldn't deal with him and his introduction changed the entire game.

I also think Bradley being out there could have done similar. Maybe even Gomez out there. But we played Quansah there because the manager doesn't trust him centrally and the entire team suffered because of it.

This whole slow control football isn't something I'm on board with and it looks worst when we drop points, I switched over to the Arsenal game straight away and they move the ball about 10x quicker than us...why can't we do that?

Quansah's obviously not a right back though, what Arne was thinking there I don't know. Get Frimpong in Jan, as well as a DM and a CF, it isn't difficult.

We've played 4030493 terrible first halves when Trent was in the XI.....it's not solely a Trent thing, then a mix of every player stepping up a level as well as the opposition slowly tiring and not being able to exert the same energy means we take over control and ultimately find a way to win.

Goalies make errors....he's been terrific these past few months so it's hard to pile into him...To be fair it was a sweet finish from there.

I wouldn't have a pop at Kelleher. Saved us so many times this season and never been a keeper who doesn't make a bad mistake every so often. Sometimes they get away with it, sometimes they don't.

Was an odd decision. Trent might've had a bit of a reaction after the lay off and wasn't quite 100%.

Agree we were far too pedestrian, there were times when Gomez had the ball when I thought the screen had frozen....It was no coincidence we scored when we upped the tempo. Got to go at Everton like we went at City.

Listen to Eddie Howe. He said as soon as Trent came on he knew his side would have a problem.

Sometimes best to listen rather than just gob off if you cannot see these things yourself.

The change in the game doesn't happen if Quansah stays at full back.

Nathan Ake tonight went off with another hamstring injury. Already been out for 5 weeks with one this season. This is why Trent isn’t starting tonight. There was no way he could start Sunday Wednesday Saturday off the back of a hammy.  Injuries and fatigue are the biggest concerns I have with us.

Yep I fully understand the decision.

Chelsea made 7 changes today and won 5-1.

I look at them and think they could really do well over the winter period due to the size and depth of their squad while we depend on 14 or 15 players who need to stay fit.

I'm still gutted and filthy with Kelleher but I am so much more annoyed and frustrated with Nunez.

What the actual F**k does he do out there because he doesn't assist, can't pass a ball 5 F***ing yards and has no awareness of what is going on around in that penalty area. I'm actually done with him now!!

Definitely a concern. Could see real (understandable) fatigue in us tonight

When you’re a forward you don’t need to play well for the full game, you just need to be able to stick the ball in the back of the net. Mo done that twice and also set up Jones for our opener. If you’re really arguing with that, have a look at yourself. Maybe focus your attention on those players who don’t play well for the full game and don’t put the ball in the net.

      Right back situation is precarious
      Left back situation is precarious
      Centre back situation is precarious

The back line is a proper worry.

Crazy how well they’ve done with nothing but a good structure and over a billion pounds of new players.

      True.
I think our Left side is simply not at the level. TAA and Salah is world class. On the other side, it's good once in a while.

We need another CB to properly replace Matip, either as starter or 3rd choice CB.
I think the issue was having Gomez as CB and Quansah as RB. They were both lost and too hesitant.

We should buy players in January. It seems Endo won't play much; we better replace him ASAP.
