'Supporters attending Saturday's Merseyside derby at Goodison Park are advised to allow extra time for travel and remain alert to Met Office weather warnings.

An amber severe wind warning has been issued by the Met Office for Merseyside from 1am GMT on Saturday, with wind gusts of 60mph to 70mph likely. The warning for wind is expected to remain in place until 6am on Sunday.

Given the weather warning, fans are advised to allow extra time for their journey and take extra care.

Supporters are also advised to keep a close eye on travel and weather guidance in their area to assist with travel planning for the Premier League fixture (12.30pm kick-off).'

Think the conditions will suit their kick anything that moves up n under kick and rush tectics tomorrow. Looks like terrestrial rain and very strong winds ... if its as bad as expected I could even see a postponement due to conditions in and around the stadium.

Not expecting that to happen but its a possibility on safety grounds if its as bad as theyre saying.

Goodison is a drafty cold place at the best of times. Safety is always the main concern. Team wise although Nunez hasn't been at his best he might be better suited to the battle we'er expecting. Expect Trent to start. My 1-4 is looking a bit optimistic but it's in now.

Just heavy winds and storms.

Can't imagine it will be much fun playing with wind gusts up to 70mph.

Here in Florida (where we tend to deal with these types of things pretty regularly) they would be closing down schools if we have even a Tropical Storm warning (Winds from 49-74).

Bridges in town usually close if the winds get much over 40mph constant.

If it goes ahead then the conditions would be a real leveller so I’ve got no problems with this being postponed.

Borderline I reckon given everything in Wales is off but assuming fans can get to the stadium and it's safe I think it's likely to go ahead. Its usually rain/ice/snow that causes games to be postponed or abandoned. Playing in high winds should suit Darwin at least.
