In round about 71/72/73 I used to go to Goodison a fair bit. Been in Gwladys Street end, Goodison rd end, Goodison rd stand, called the Park end Stand, Bullens Rd and the Top tier stand. The pies were always better I seem to remember.

Oddly enough me brother had 2 tickets for the famed North Korea V Portugal game, in the '66 world cup , but went with his mate. Portugal won 5-3 after North Korea went 3-0 up.

We will see if it goes ahead.

However would be great for the fans to belt out “Merry Christmas Everton” one last time there, after romping home to victory.

Wind beginning to howl here in the west of Ireland now. If the game goes ahead in very windy conditions it really makes the game a 50/50 as in such extreme conditions anything could happen.

It's yellow for Merseyside. Red for the Bristol channel and Wales. Almost shat myself earlier today when my phone made this screeching noise. It was the government warning about severe weather

Im currently about 10 miles from Anfield and its absolutely brutal out there. Fences have blown down, looks like lots of danage to roofs etc ... outside xmas decs scattered everywhere. Its going to get worse according to the weather. I hope this is called off. Right up their street football wise but its not going to be good conditions to travel in or be walking round in.

Gives us time to rest and safety is priority for everyone

Now we can rest the lads mid week too and then go again with hopefully a couple more players fit

Needed to call it off now to stop people getting in their cars etc ... trains will get cancelled etc due to things on the line. Just not worth it.

No suprise there,peoples safety comes first,got the formula 1 to watch this weekend,so all is not lost.

Good for us. Game would have been an absolute lottery had it gone ahead.

Dead CL game in midweek as well so plenty of time to get some much needed rest.
