So you reckon it's the team only being capable of physically playing one half of football?

It's mentality and motivation. Look at Southampton, exact same first half....then came along the 2 big boys and we got motivated for it - entire domination and control, that's all it is. Treat every game like it's a City or Madrid.

I think we've been fortunate at times with the slow start. A few games we could have been well behind before the intensity lifted. At some point, that's gonna be a big downfall, we won't be able to claw back. We just have to be better in the early moments of games. All games that is, not just against the big hitters.

      Quote from JD
At £2M per win in this league phase I don't think we will be resting our first XI for any of these games.

What will we do with it? Sign some players maybe. What about putting it towards the kitty for the contracts that need renewing. Reducing ticket prices maybe. Or better still, install a screen in the stadium bringing Anfield into line with every other major sports stadium in the world. After all, what's the point of win bonuses if they're not going to be used?

Luckily we have VAR available, and it was the only way we could have won the game. But we're often told that managers are supposed to be happy with scrappy 1-0 wins. Nobody told Arne that yet.
