If you're going to drop home points against Fulham to win the title we will need to win some tough games to balance it out.

Anything less than a win here and I'm afraid the writing looks on the wall for the collapse of our once big lead.

We need a fair referee and VAR unlike the last time in this encounter.   We really need to be on it the intensity needs to be high and need a good performance and a win.   It is all about the 3 points but just feel we really need a performance too, to let our rivals know that we have our advantage in our grasp.   Drop points and it will inject a huge amount of confidence into our rivals.

Think that's the team, fitness permitting. If Dom is fit I expect him to play every tough away game left this season. The difference in intensity in midfield when he is absent is stark. It's like playing without an engine and we get overrun. Far too passive when it's the other three. Some midfield combinations don't work (Gerrard and Alonso centre midfield for example, that was lacking defensive nous), and Curtis, Mac and Grav while all very technical lack high energy, physicality and quick pressing.

Hopefully this is the last game Konate and possibly Bradley miss. While Dom is a huge loss when he is not in midfield those two at the back also give us running power and more defensive stability.

The midweek league cup game I'd play all the back up players and kids.

Won't Robbo have a three game ban for a straight red ?  Unsure, so just asking.

Their so beat up atm in the back. They are without main two CBs, plus their hybrid guy, and a few others aswell. The dog boy came off yesterday too, plus they will go hard in mid week, as they have United in the cup, and that's the best chance of a trophy that they have.

Yes they play Mancheater United on Thurs 19th.EFL cup. Beat Soton 5-0 so their yo-yo season continues. But they take beating us very seriously and it will again be a difficult job getting 3 pts.

A clear pattern is emerging from the refs and VAR and it is every borderline vital decision is been given against us. Blatant YES we get it....borderline we don't. Saw several examples V Fulham and in other games this season. Getting our fair share of borderline decision could be the difference in winning this league or losing it.

Would personally have MacAllister over Jones but otherwise pretty much the same.

Could see that, flip of a coin what Arne will decide to do but for me Jones has been superior to Mac this season.

Mac has been out of position in a deeper role though. It's no surprise his best game this season was against R.Madrid where he was allowed to play much higher up due to their non-existent resistance in midfield. He is a world class 10, we saw that for the first three months of this year when he was unplayable as creator in chief. We didn't get the 6 we needed in the summer so he has been dovetailing with Grav in deep midfield. He can do that role as he is that good, but looking ahead it's vital he is played where he is at bis best. Had Zubimendi come in he would be.

In terms of the game, only two debates over the starting XI really. Mac or Jones, and Jota to start or go with Mo, Diaz, Gakpo. Don't think Jota has played enough minutes to start and Jones didn't play last night so he may get the nod. Their back line is weak so we should be going at them from the off.
