      Let them know what?

They players will know it themselves, when it comes to shooting outside the box, they barely ever replicate what they do in training on the pitch when it counts. Less than 5% of our shots come from outside the box. It's a factual statement.

They should have nunez practicing from 2 yards out 😉

I'd keep Jota on the bench, really need to nurse him back to full fitness.

      Allison

      Trent     Gomez     Virgil     Tsimikas

      Gravenberch      Jones

      Salah     Szoboszlai     Gakpo

      Diaz

Or the flip argument is play Jota as much as we can before someone falls on him and rules him out for months again

      Thought Robbo was banned?

Either way, the thought of that Kuleshevski fella who is on fire at the moment, running at Tsimi or Robbo scares the sh*t out of me. Whoever is playing LW has to help defend.

Then we have Son running at Trent...F**k sake. Hopefully Gomez plays RCB so he can help out Trent. Feel a lot safer Joe being out on that side coz I just don't trust Trent when it comes to defending.

Ibou and Bradley sure would have come in handy for this one.

Gonna be tough but expecting them to implode and us to take full advantage.

Nunez to score again and Mo with a ripper!!

From a defensive standpoint the match-ups out wide are a concern. Wonder how we will set up here. Could be defensive (more compact) so as not to leave gaps, then hit them on the break. Ordinarily you'd like us to be on the front foot and press high up, but that leaves space in behind which could see two very vulnerable full backs exploited. Think not have a screening defensive midfielder hurts us with the full backs being so suspect. Previously we only had the right side to be concerned with as Robbo was solid, but Fabinho mopping up in midfield and then Hendo often helping out Trent down his side it was never really exposed that much. Now though we look open down both flanks. Gravenberch is a silky player and has also improved his defensive work, but we need more protection for both full backs. Fulham are not Spurs going forward yet they cut us open pretty easy down both wings.

Having said all that we have to be brave and attack them as they are a defensive shambles and very open with a makeshift back four. Maybe sit back and just hit them in waves at every opportunity is the way to go.

Could start with Nunez.Has pace and aggression and as their a bit light in central defense. Also Nunez needs a confidence boost, give him a start in this important fixture and if he does well it'll help the squad. Keep Jota back if needed. Have to sort Son out and watch out for Kulusevski getting a run on Robbo, esp on the blind side.

Getting Elliott into the mix at some point. Getting fully up to speed and his energy helps. So 60 min Dom off Elliott on.

      Ali...Trent...Joe...VVD. ..Robbo...Graver...Jones ...Dom...Mo...Nunez...Di az.

      1-4....poss 2-4

Agree with the starting Nunez shout. He thrives when he has space to run into, and Spurs leave space aplenty to do just that. Wasteful finisher yes, but a very effective player at hassling a back line and creating disruption and thus openings for more accomplished goalscorers.

This is the one game I'd be looking to play him.

If you're going to drop home points against Fulham to win the title we will need to win some tough games to balance it out.

Anything less than a win here and I'm afraid the writing looks on the wall for the collapse of our once big lead.

I’m with JD with this one, who knows which Spurs side will turn up, their good enough to beat City & bad enough to lose to Ipswich, they have played some tantalising football and have been completely f***in dross, so F**k knows what we’ll get, having said all of that their the ones with the problem not us, big Ange will be wondering how the F**k can we cope with this Red Juggernaut,

We’ve seen how Arne likes to go thru the gears at any given time and I doubt very much that Spuds have the capability to cope with changing of pace/tempo, I’d imagine we’ll just go about our business and see what Spuds come up with, if they come at us gung ho we can counter pretty good, but if their more sensible and try and match us man for man, we’ll tear them a new one, it won’t be easy, there are no easy games in this league, but I just can’t see Spuds doing us over, unless of course the PGMOL, ie; the Ref and his wee mate in the VAR box decide otherwise??

Allison, Trent, Gomez, Virgil, Robbo, G’Berch, Macca, Szlobo, Gakpo, Jota , Mo…..

Thought about holding Jota back, but he brings a different dimension up top, his instincts are better than Nunez as is his finishing, so he gets my nod, play him for a hour or so then get him off, also thought of starting with Diaz, however, his pace for the last 35 or so against tired legs & minds will be very handy, probably throw Elliot on too, and Curtis on to freshen the engine room….

      0-3 Mighty Redmen !!

A funny side Spurs, you never know which side will turn up. They can either tear defences apart or be awful.

Either way the Reds need a win, making sure they are top, by the end of the weekend.

Sure sign of an off-the-cuff approach. Suck it and see. Front foot team. Postecoglou's no Benitez that's for sure, although Rafa overdid the tactics sometimes. But relying on attack will only get you so far and arguably that's why Spurs are so inconsistent.

The Spursy side will show up tomorrow.

For the nervous wrecks, we need to be 2-0 up before kickoff. 5-0 up by halftime. Even then the cushion is not enough. Need to score 3 goals in the second half in case they pull 4 goals back. I can’t trust our defense. Assume we will leak four goals. Please please win it.

8 goals with 5 minutes left into added time should secure three points. Nervous as always. And no, nobody can calm me down. Can’t trust anything.

But I got a win prediction. :lmao:

Macca and Grav will be back together tomorrow, and thatsbthe key for me. Salah, Diaz, TAA, Cody, Jota, and Nunez create so many scoring chances, and are a huge huge reason why we're so good. But Grav and Macca will control the game tomorrow, and thats just something Spurs don't have, is control. Even when they win, it's just a lot of craziness, separated by 4 or 5 goals.

Genuinely believe we win this game by however many goals we decide.

They have a very good attack when they're all firing......but we have the defence to match it. As we've shown against Chelsea, City and Madrid.

Their defence however, is nowhere near to keep us out.

Without doubt Tottenham have players that can cause us problems, but also those same players can be as fragile as a Christmas bauble...so who knows which Spurs team will turn up. They had a pretty intense game on Thursday, so we should have a slight advantage with energy.
Go at them aggressively from minute one and get an early goal, they could easily fold, and we could push on and give them a much overdue hammering. That said if we give them a sniff we could come unstuck.

We should win this. Spurs have their 2 best CBs out and a goalie who doesn't suit their passing game and just had a nightmare in midweek. They also didn't rest their best players in what was a tough game on Thursday.

We are close to full strength and were able to rest key players on Wednesday. If we keep it tight first half, I think we will roll over them in the second.
