That shot sums up Nunez with Chiesa standing free on the other side.

Danns’ close control is really good

Where has he been physically he looks ready. It so hard to watch when commentators are so desperately wanting Soton to win.

Mad that City and Madrid have been our only two comfortable wins for god knows how long.

Good win with a make shift young team

Deserved win on the overall performance
Yep, could've had more in the first half...
      Decent performance in demanding conditions...

Got through. Not sure if that's good or bad at this point. Hope whatever happens we keep using squad players in the semis with just a sprinkling of first team players. If we make the final might as well go for it.

The lad went down as soon as he felt the touch

      Just out muscled him
Quansah had his arm round him mate, it’s like when people say a barge in the back with your shoulder is just a shoulder tackle. Was clumsy by Quanshah. As I say not blatant but as proved in here, it has split opinion.

I am no Nunez hater like some on here but by God in 55 years of supporting this team I don't think I have ever been as frustrated with a player!

That was a terrible 2nd half. With a team made up of our reserves and lads it is not totally surprising but I did expect better. None of those young lads have given Slot any reason to notice them. It's actually concerning when you see the lack in development. They showed promise last season.

I think he's done well to get away with it once he's not dealt with the initial ball.

Could have no complaints if he walked there but he did the right thing in stopping him one way or another. Would much rather he did that with 3 minutes to go and get sent off for the team than let the man go and score.

Yes that did make me laugh. After acknowledging it was outside the area.. that's what they concluded with.

What for a pull back 22 yards from goal?

      Probably not, no.

I hope Slot would realise that it’s not easy to be thrown in to a game with a makeshift team and suddenly be on top form. Having said that, think Morton had a good game and wouldn’t mind him get more of an opportunity around the first team.

Which young players are you talking about ?

Danns was composed when he came on , Nyoni was tidy all game , McConnell got stuck in same with Morton

It’s a tough game in tough conditions

Chiesa looks miles off the pace and understandable needs time in games. Still a makeshilineup and another Arne win

So you're not surprised but you are surprised?

Makeshift side like that is hard for any young player to really stand out.

Yep, happy we won but main thing was no injuries.

Good run out too for players who needed minutes. Have a feeling Chiesa is going to be big for us this season.
