What a match by Trent, Szosboslai and Diaz. Salah is Salah, always dangerous.

Apart from the goal Mac Allister needs to improve. Robertson going forward was excellent but needs to improve defensively.

Trent was the best full back and with Son down his side.

      Gravenberch was spot on again.

Superb result. Brilliant performance (bar a general slack attitude at times)

Nice to see us actually play our game, dominate, score plenty, and always look dangerous. A comfortable win! Our hearts could rest easy.

      Thought Dom was superb!

Excellent result, and a big 3 points.
Fantastic in the first half, game got a little keystone cops in the 2nd, but we never really looked like we wouldn't win.
Went for Diaz MOTM, delighted for him after last season in same game.
Salah, Dom, VVD, Gomez really good. Trent with some great passes.
Gravenberch, have to give a shout out to him again, from fringe player to doing what he is doing now, it's just a brilliant turnaround.

And an excellent week for Slot, lots of changes for the Cup midweek, and the lads came back in hungry today. What a job he's done so far.

Just have to enjoy days like this, plus with results elsewhere.

      Ali - 6

      Trent - 7.5
      Gomez - 8
      Virgil - 7
      Robbo - 7

      Grav - 7.5
      Mac - 7
      Szobo - 9

      Salah - 9
      Diaz - 9
      Gakpo - 6

Thought all the subs made us worse - Jota came on and gave away a few fouls and didn't notice Jones at all, don't understand why Endo isn't coming on.

Endo , for wharever reason just isnt getting a look in. He just doesnt seem to have the tools Arne wants. At 5-1 hes ideal in my opinion. He brings intensity, closing down the midfield etc and thats what we needed. The 2 second half goals ... nobody pressed the ball and we were abit casual. You just cant do that. Spurs had 3/4 of their defence missing today and seemed to have give up at 5-1 yet we still let 3 in.

But listen, some of our attacking play today was breathtaking.  Absolutely superb and its brilliant to see others chipping in and not just Mo. Jota and Gakpo last week, nunez and harvey midweek and now diaz dom and mac today. That just makes us more potent.

Take nothing for granted against leicester ... but as long as we start the game properly we should be taking 3 points.

Before the game i wanted us to reassert ourselves after back to back draws and we did that with interest today. Nice little cushion now. Keep applying the pressure to our rivals, give them little hope and they could drop more points.

Went for Mo as motm but plenty of candidates which again is a good thing, especially Dom who was great in there today.

Mac was very very good today. Made the mistake for their first but bossed that space and interlinked so well with Szobo and Grav.

Disagree - I thought Macca was amazing and it’s no surprise we conceded after he went off. He was exceptional working in tight spaces and winning possession.

      Alisson 7.5
      Trent.   8.0
      Gomez 9.0
      Virgil.   9.0
      Robbo. 8.0
      G’Berch 8.5
      Macca  8.0
      Szlobo 9.0
      Diaz.   9.0
      Gakpo 7.0
      Salah. 9.0

      Subs.  7.0

Thought we were outstanding today, especially the first 55mins, I’m not apportioning blame on anyone for the goals we conceded, although annoying, we were so lax in those moments , like the chances we had we didn’t get all of them, had we done so I believe we would have gotten ten, so it’s fair then that defensively we weren’t 100% either,

Thought Szlobo had his best game for us today, he was awesome, he controlled the pace & tempo and didn’t let up, we have been critical of him this season, however, we should all know by now that Arne likes to work one on one with players he feels can give more, points out nuances that eek out that extra effort, well it’s clear he’s been working with Dom, just hope he continues to improve because that was as good a performance from any midfielders in the entire league today,

Big shout outs to Diaz, Mo, Gomez too, only Gakpo wasn’t quite his usual self, but then, he didn’t have to be, I think that performance was close to the one Vs Forest when we battered them 5-0, it was close to perfection, aside from those 3 against, it also reminded me of the 0-4 hammering of Leicester at the King Power the season we won the title, they were second at the time yet we went there and tore them apart, and for me was the defining moment I knew we’d win the league,

Not saying for a second this feels the same, however it was a statement win and one which others will look at and say, ‘sh*t, how the F**k are we to stop this Red Machine’
.like that tub of sh*t at the start of “Shawshank”
.’.We’re not supposed to be here’,
we’re in transition, new manager, new system etc, this should be the year of the Arse, it was supposed to be their season for the ‘Holy Grail’, but again they’ve bottled it yet again,

Chavs are in it without a doubt, however I reckon they too will fall away when the road becomes a bit more rocky, they couldn’t get past Blueshite @ Blueshite which they should have done, a indication that they can be got at, even by side only just outside the drop zone??

A few of us said a few weeks ago that it’s ours to lose, I don’t see it any different, our next three victims are WHU, Foxes, and the Scummy fuckpigs, WHU away, so without getting too far ahead of myself I can see us bagging Nine points, question is, will our nearest & dearest keep up with us ??  Don’t see it myself!!

Fantastic performance today, one of if not the best since Arne came to town, and we’re just getting started ??

      What a performance.

Could have easily been 10 or 11.

Mo, Lucho and Dom all should have hattricks.

Gutted we conceded 3 but have to be happy with coming away from there with all 3 points, being 4 clear at the Top with a game in hand.

Was really concerned about dropping points here, the Boys had other ideas.

Disagree - I thought Macca was amazing and it’s no surprise we conceded after he went off. He was exceptional working in tight spaces and winning possession.

Watched the match again and yes Mac was quality. The composure in tight spaces, just gives us a calmness when he's on the ball. But for the mistake for their opener he'd be in motm contention. Him and Grav bring an air of authority in the middle.

Dom, Diaz and Mo all 9s, but for motm probably just edge it to Diaz for the manner of his goals and the fact he ran then ragged. Dom was relentless throughout while Mo, 2 goals and 2 assists, you cannot argue with that.

Robbo was really good too, the interception and then running the length of the field for our 4th, that was great to see him display that level of intensity. He's a quality player, our best LB in the PL era, but the issue was had his legs gone, so to see him do that was reassuring.

Gomez was impeccable in that first half. The way he toyed with their forwards at times in timing his challenges, that's something you'd expect from Virgil. And Trent's passing is as good as ever. There were three of four times when a pass back to the keeper looked the obvious choice, but he sees openings that few others do.

Just got home from Spurs, thought we dominated the game for large parts. An unusual mistake from Maca for the 1st goal but ghe other were poor to concede

That was Szbozolai's best game in a red shirt. Gomez was outstanding, Diaz never stopped and Mo just keeps on being Mo. After taking a bit of unfair stick last week Robbo was great aswell.

Brilliant win and  performance, onto Leicester now where hopefully we can put a good few past them.

We could have put in more. Surprised at the 2 additiinal goals we conceded. Was it as a result of the subs made?

Football should always try to be about entertainment and that was a very entertaining game. Lots of good performances from the players, Dom was the MOTM for me, he was relentless in his pressing and everyone knows Spurs are vulnerable to pressing due to their style of play and injuries.

But football is primarily about results, not entertaining people with lots of goals. It was good to see Slot highlighting the loss of focus and intensity at the end of the game. It was slightly disappointing to concede the last 2 goals.

Spurs are an entertaining team and that was the most enjoyable game we've had in a long time but the 3 points is the most important thing.

      Top of the league.

Brilliant winner over Spurs, with everyone playing their part, in a game full of action and goals.

Appeared to gone back into "Klopp mode" scoring more goals than we concede.

A great Christmas present for all LFC fans !

Said at 5-1 I was looking for us to control it. We didn't and at 5-3 it's a bit hairy. The 6th goal finally kills it but I'm looking for us to get back to defending well against Leicester at home.

If we stop them from scoring we will in all likelihood win the match with our firepower up top.

Got to temper it with the fact that Spurs just don't defend very well. Not just from the front are they lacking, it's throughout the team. Their midfield telephoned in. Didn't hunt the ball down. Very naive, Yes we put them to the sword and it was a great confidence boost.

Mo was outstanding as was Dom and Diaz. Our energy levels were excellent. Few games we looked less that energetic but we were on it from the off.

Carra suggested Slot praising Postecoglou over the United win was a bit of a con trick. Encourage him to play the same way against us, if so we have a manager that likes to play mind games.

We go next against Leicester at home. Not impressed with Van Nistelrooy and I fully expect to give them a sound battering.

Great win and great to be top at Christmas
but we have to tighten up at the back we have conceded 8 goals in our last 3 league games, a big change from the defensive performances at the start of the season.
