All true of course and the said two you mentioned more than played their part. However, Salah has the edge on this seasons performance, only my opinion. I’d give a shout out for your No 2 being honest. All though not world class he’s been outstanding when stepping in for your No 1

I really dont know how a player is judged as being the best ever in a league...I mean his goals pale to some others....overall hes no Gerrard for example, so Im not sure how its concluded in any players favour

But perhaps one stat that could help argue his case....one player who would be named in the conversation is Giggs, a winger who played 632 prem lge games, scored 109 goals and assisted in 162, serious stats......

Mo, a winger has played 290 games, scoring  182 and assisting with 85....thats phenomenal hes smashed giggs goals return and has half the assists in less then half the games

All the more so, given Mo is 32 whereas Shearer was 24/25 when he achieved that record. It's unprecedented what Mo is doing this season. 

Well not an out and out striker so he shouldn't be compared to central strikers. Could argue CR7 was better but he played 196 (84) V Mo on 277 (180). Talking about Prem games only.

As a wide/winger goalscoring creative striker Mohamed Salah is the best the Premier League has seen. Throw the whole lot into the mix and he's in the top 5.

If he stays and does it for a couple more seasons, he could very well be seen as just that!

I agree, but it's generally a Barca/Madrid w*nk off. Rodri only got it last year courtesy of Spain's Euros Win. Mo didn't get near it in his first season with LFC despite crazy numbers and a Champions League Final appearance. Suarez scored more incredible goals in a season than anyone i have ever seen in 13-14 season and never go anywhere near it (for me, i think it may always be the most outstanding season i've ever seen from a forward).

We probably have to win the Champions League for Mo to win the award.

Agree completely - Virgil has been immense this season.

For me, he’s the best CB in our history … even Hansen wasn’t quite in the same league. His reading of the game, his tackling, his organisation of teammates, distribution out from the back … world class player!
