If you are going to constantly snipe about wearing "rose tints" to people on a Liverpool forum, then I'm going to suggest you may want to frequent a United "safe space". ;)

Not the worst result but another flat performance. Another forgettable 1st half of nothingness.

Take whatever we can get for Trent in Jan before the situation does more harm than good. Bradley did more in 5mins than he did 85.

Our fullbacks are a huge worry in this system, neither ate contributing offensively and defensively both are a liability.

Because he came out wider to win an aerial battle after a long ball from Martinez. Trent then filled in at CB to plug the gap.

And no, it wasn't in the full back position either.

And no, he wasn't caught up too high up the pitch either.

Watch is again as soon as Konate heads it alongside the CF Trent for some.reason runs fo the middle instead of getting out to Garnacho who he clearly couldn't be arsed running up against and took the easy option to go in middle meaning Konate had no choice but don't let that get in the way ..Don't bother responding my original point was clearly correct and your half assed excuses for a shocking performance won't make me think any different

He's already facing back towards his own goal when Konate heads the ball back the opposite direction. Konate heads the ball and it bounced just past Gravenberch back closer to the half way line. The complete opposite direction to where Trent is, and where he is facing.

If Trent was to then turn and go press Garnacho, he would have to sprint out past Konate and leave a gaping hole in CB, which is the worst thing he could do and would get slaughtered for.

I think you just want to stick the boot into Trent no matter what. Which is just an agenda, it's not analysing football.

It was Nunez who calmed Jota down.

The one he wouldn't want to argue with was Konate who was starting to pick up in speed to get across to what may ensue.

Seem him do it a few times now, whenever something kicks off he's the first to go steaming in.

Look at my past posts in relation to him and you will clearly see you are talking out of your arse and clearly have no idea how positioning works . Facing the wrong way when Konate heads it my lord heard it all now . Don't respond pal wasted enough time on you now

Intresting! You’re the first fan that I’ve read that said we were sh*te yesterday 🤔🤔🤔

Think the majority assumed we’d hand out a battering, and you really can’t blame us for thinking we would after that dismal affair Vs Toon, the difference was Utd sat back and allowed Toon space to attack and the inevitable happens,
Against us, you closed those spaces down and played much better between the lines  and restricted our movement, you also targeted Trent, not for the first time and seen him as the weak link in our back 4, this was further compounded by a unfit Konate who didn’t have the match day legs to properly cover for Trent, a mistake Arne I bet is now regretting,

When we did push forward Utd played a bank of five, with a bank of 4 sat in front which we found difficult to penetrate, we didn’t have the usual creativity we’d have gotten from Szloboslai, instead we had Curtis Jones who for the most part gave up possession and was as useful as Tits on a fish, Lucho wasn’t much better either, we simply didn’t turn up and were miles off our usual selves,

Anyhoo, another game ticked off, we’re still top of the f***in league by six clear with a game up our sleeve, as Billy has alluded to already, this was Utd’s cup final, they don’t have a lot going for them so taking a point will feel like a Victory, hence all the MUtants nursing hard on’s all f***in day !!

Maybe a 5 then, agree he didn't do much but he at least had a pop at goal and tried to take the ball around their defenders.

      It's not enough.

How many times have you seen the cross to Diaz for Spurs this season? You can count on 1 hand.

How many times do you see him take shots at goal? You wont come up with many.

How many times does he set Mo off down the wing like he did for our first goal against Ipswich? Again, very few.

How many times do you see him breaking his neck to overlap or getting beyond Salah somehow and looking to cause their left side problems like he did before? Zero.

He was poor yesterday,  it was inevitable after his performance yesterday that the contract situation would be a major cause of debate. The fact is that he has been good overall this season

      Tragedy chanting arrests at Anfield

Eight people were detained at the Premier League match between Liverpool and Manchester United on Sunday 5 January, following reports of tragedy chanting.

A 46-year-old man from Church Warsop, Nottinghamshire and a 28-year-old man from Hendersonville, Tennessee, USA were arrested under Section 5 of the Public Order Act (Tragedy Chanting).

The following were asked to voluntarily attend interviews under caution on suspicion of the same offence:

      A 42-year-old man from Hale
      A 30-year-old man from Stockport
      A 59-year-old man from Congleton
A 21-year-old man from Bala, Wales
      A 50-year-old man from Manchester
      A 52-year-old woman from Manchester

Chief Inspector Lisa Ledder said: “Football fans who chant about tragedies cause huge distress to those families and people directly affected.

“The tragic loss of life is not a subject for tribal point scoring, and this behaviour has absolutely no place in football. Regardless of team affiliation, we will continue to work with clubs to take action to identify and bring any perpetrators to justice.

“I hope the arrests of these individuals sends a clear message and acts as a deterrent to others that you risk getting a criminal record and ending up in custody if you choose to engage in this despicable behaviour.”

If people don't care I would say send Chiesa in instead of Nunez surely can't do thing a lot worsen if not better.

And, I know no guarantee in football as no guarantee in life but I confident if Arne replace Jones with Endo and replace Trent with Bradley shortly after 2-1, we win this game.

In a nutshell. And this is why I want Endo sold. Even in a game like that where its crying out for him, Arne wont use him.

The substitutions you mention were the changes to make and Arne failed to act. He knew what he needed to do ... i just wonder if he didnt want to do it due to the headlines it would have created.

It came back to bite him. We will know when the lineup comes out for the forest game if he has learned his lesson.

I think Endo should have come on but ii really don't think slot thinking about possible headlines came into it. As for the forest game trent will start unless he's injured or ill.
