Forrest have got Wood up front. One of NES ploys is not to press high, almost invite defenders to play into midfield, then their mid 4 are on high alert and pounce on any slight miss control or slightly wayward pass. Intense midfield block.

But we owe them one. Our mid will need to be wide awake.

Like that team (only argument at the minute is Diaz or Gakpo, and I wouldn't write off Diaz in the 9). Luis was unlucky yesterday in coming up against three CB and not having help from midfield (ie. the passive Jones). Had the pressing machine that is Dom been close to him, forcing errors, Luis may have capitalised. In dragging out one CB to face him (Maguire) that still left them solid with two others, so Luis had a very difficult task with not much support.

What happened to one game at a time?

As far as I'm concerned this is our next game. These cup games are prep, warm ups. Take zero risks with any of them and give them minutes to ensure they are right for this game (Bradley's minutes steadily increasing, Dom getting a bit of a run out, and Konate). Fine tune them for the main course basically.

We have to win this one. We may be in a good position at the top, but that can so quickly unfold once yo lose. The confidence will take a knock, then you often over compensate in the following game, trying to make things right. Forrest aren't brilliant, but they've got some momentum and belief, and the work their socks off. We need to match their workrate and keep a hard press. Teams lately have had too much space and time on the ball in the middle of the park, and by the same token, seem to press us much closer and harder than we press them.
We have to improve on that. If we can, I'm sure the quality of our players will do the rest.  Its gonna be a tough tough game.

Yeh Cheers she loved it was a great atmosphere and tjought there fans great showing hige respect as did oura. It's possibly not the team I would.pick more what I expect to be picked based on Jota playing 90 yesterday and Diaz fully rested.  I really can't see Bradley starting

Jota playing the full 90 kinda confirms that as the team as a conventional #9 or Diaz is the only real selection dilemma (although Bradley or Trent I'd have also added in that debate). Even yesterday against lower tier opposition that right side was gaping in the first half at times which allowed them to put in two or three dangerous crosses (counter to that he produced real quality on the ball though and of course the goal before half time, and think as vice captain its unlikely he will be dropped). Trent will have to be switched on for the entire time he is on the field. Cannot afford any more defensive lapses. Hope Konate is ok too and there was no issue yesterday,
