I'm only one chapter into "The Forever War, America's unending conflict with itself".....and I can tell you America's democracy has always been paper thin at best, and with this New administration, aided by a partizan Supreme Court and funded to the hilt by Silicon Vally..the threat to it's barely functioning democracy is in real peril.
Nowhere in The declaration of independence, The Constitution, or The Bill of Rights will you find the word democracy.

Don't disagree. And we simply don't see the poverty in the US. But it's not that much different in the UK. The powerful right wing media dominate. However we should not underestimate the power of the people but it's on the wane for sure.

He was expressing his dislike for the 2nd amendment, 'the right to bear arms,' albeit in a rather clumsy way.
I get it, and I ain't mad at him about it. But I would argue that the 2nd amendment isn't the issue, but rather a number of issues that have becoming glaring over the past few decades. None of which I can do them justice in shirt forum threads. But some of these issues being rapid drug addiction over the years, the poor decisions made by legislatiors over the years that have decreased defendants being held accountable in the criminal justice system, the increase of mental health that has been ignored, and the fact that the fathers presence inside the home has declined for about 60 years.

Im glad to have these conversations and give some of my professional experiences or personal opinions on these matters, but again, in person is the best way to do these. While I was un the UK there were a bunch of people that I spoke with these matters on and it was a lot of fun. Obviously where I'm from and the majority of where you're from is vastly different 😆

But just because the electorate decides something doesn't make it "right" though does it.

The electorate in this country just elected Trump who most people around the world (seemingly) despise. So if the electorate can't get it right electing a president, how can they get it right deciding what "hate" is?
The word is open to interpretation...what is deemed to be hate by one person, won't by another. Generally speaking we pick up on something truly hateful on instinct....Those of us who are well balanced....We just sort of know.

Sure we all respect the job you do. Most in the UK to be honest see the US as a cut throat society with very little sympathy for the less well off. The $doallar dominates. Health care issues, gun laws. We really don't understand the mentality of the average American. I was only over once for a week and I really am none the wiser.

Don't dwell on it obviously and can only generalise. Have enough to deal with but most think Musk needs to lower the rhetoric.

Even if we ignore the ambiguities and interpretation of the 2nd amendment, the list of societal pressures you put forward are pretty much in place across the whole of the developed world....but you can't deny it's the US which has this unique issue with firearms.

Nah man, I'm not saying it isn't a mess over here. It is. But like everything, it's way more complex than "guns are bad, Healthcare sucks, and capitalism rules".

A few of the things that I talked with people in Liverpool in London was that most of police sucked and that your drug problem consisted on ketamine and coke. You guys don't have a drug problem, yall just enjoy a good party lmao 🤣

What the F**k are you on about? Its happening right in front of your eyes. He ain't F***ing hiding it from anybody!!!

Go and look at his tweets. Been calling for Starmer to be arrested while banging on about Tommy Robinson for F***ing Reform leadership because even Nigel F***ing Farage thought Musk was going too far hence why Musk also tweeted Farage must go.

He's got a made up job in the White House under the heading 'DOGE' which is the sh*t coin he's been involved with for years. Coin subsequently went 'to the moon' as the tech bros call it... earning him a sh*t ton more money.

You don't need to be James Bond even snooker player Nigel Bond could work it out. He wants close ties to the leaders of the free world and will attempt to use his influence on X to shift the needle to get it.

Hardly F***ing Casino Royale more Scooby Doo.

Well he ain't going to get away with it with the meddling scousers so he can F**k off.

       :lmao: :lmao:
